SVA hosted a preview of its latest Istanblu collection at their store and in attendance was Shaheen wearing a look from the new collection.

Wearing her hair up, she finished out the look with a silver clutch. The formal look was better saved for a different occasion but then she probably had no choice and just had to pick something.

Of Launches

Wearing a floral-print Zara sheath with nude pumps and a gorgeous blue Bulgari bag, Tisca attended a book launch yesterday. She looked good but if there’s one thing we could change, it’d be her eye make-up; the heavy, smokey eyes didn’t quite work with rest of her look.

In Elie Saab

For her appearance at a press meet, Sonam picked a blush-nude Elie Saab Pre Fall 2015 dress. Wearing her hair swept to the side, she finished out the look with a strong red lip, jewelry from Anmol and Mahesh Notandass, an iridescent Thalé Blanc clutch and Christian Louboutin pumps.

Elie and Sonam have a good partnership, she being the perfect foil for his rather soft, feminine designs. And which is why, it makes perfect sense for her to have picked this imitation lace dress from the designer’s collection. However, the look didn’t quite make the impact she, or rather we were hoping. The obvious fault lies with the length of her dress which fell in the awkward neither quite here, nor quite there territory. Combine that with the heavy, wide hem of the dress and the issue with length was only further highlighted.

In BCBG

One to normally do an edgy dress or a sparkly number at GIMAs, Sophie’s look in the white BCBG felt rather safe relatively. But, we aren’t complaining because even in the strapless dress, she looked fabulous. I must admit, the asymmetric hemline had me on the fence at first but between the soft retro curls and overall styling, I was hooked.

She finished out her look with jewellery from Farah Khan Fine Jewellery and pvc Gianvito Rossi pumps.

In Gauri and Nainika

Aditi walked the GIMA red carpet wearing a dramatic Gauri and Nainika gown, one that bore a slight resemblance to Priyanka’s gown (also a Gauri-Nainika) from the Toronto premiere of Mary Kom.

Simple styling is what this gown needed and that is how her look was finished out: a sleek ponytail, a red lip and a single statement ring. She looked good!
