Of Film Festivals

Every now and then, you can count on Ms. Kapoor to introduce a new designer on these pages. On the opening night of IMMF 2015, she did just that by wearing a black dress by Portuguese designer Diogo Miranda. Given the dramatic origami pleated sleeves, it was a good move to keep her accessories simple. Adding a bit more edge to the look were here fringe Aquazzura sandals and jewellery from Anmol.

On day two, she went elegant in a cream Paolo Sebastian gown featuring a lace cape. Again, letting the gown do all the talking, here she again kept the finishing touches simple which included jewellery from Shruti Sushma, Anmoland a clutch by Thale Blanc.

Between the two, while I liked the dress, loved the gown look more. Scratch that, I loved seeing her more in the Anamika Khanna that she wore for the fashion show. (Yep, that AK bias is back!)

In Rimple & Harpreet Narula

For her appearance at a store launch in Hyderabad, Tamannaah picked a Rimple & Harpreet Narula sari. Wearing her hair down in soft waves, she finished out the look with earrings from Wite & Gold and strappy metallic sandals. Like what you see?

In SVA

On both the opening night and Awards night of IFFM 2015, Bhumi wore SVA wearing a white full-sleeved gown to the former and a burgundy one to the latter.

While I prefer her in the fitted maxi look more, I would’ve preferred a sleek hairdo or even a braid. The big hair didn’t quite work here and looked a bit messy as well. What do you think?

In Ezra

Dressed in pastel Ezra separates, Sonali was photographed outside Mehboob studios where she was shooting for a commercial. With her hair partially pinned back, thong sandals from Aldo finished out the look. Easy and summery, she looked nice!

In Manish Malhotra Couture

For promotions of Katti Batti, Kangana and Imran are attending the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne and on opening night Kangana was seen in a Manish Malhotra couture look straight off the runway.

Am a bit on the fence over whether she should’ve also worn the bolero. When I imagine the look without the bolero, it feels more of a winner. What say you?
