At first glance, you might think this was the same person who draped the sari differently for the photogs but look a bit closely and you’ll realize that both Shamita and Madhoo attended the Star Screen Awards wearing Manish Malhotra saris of the same color.

While the former wore hers showing off her blouse, the later opted to go for a more traditional drape. Alas, between the two, only Ms. Shetty had success with her look. Between the choker blouse, those overtly flashy baubles and that hairdo, Madhoo looked super dated!

P.S. Shamita is carrying a Lulu Guinness clutch and Madhoo, a Leiber.

In Avaro Figlio

Throwing us quite the curveball in her Avaro Figlio was Ms. Bhaskar at the Star Screen Awards. The actor had quite a few missteps last year but boy, has she changed things around. Now, some folks may think that the eye-makeup was running with the way it’s done, but I loved it.

The gown needed an edgy do and some bold makeup and she totally delivered.

In Falguni and Shane Peacock

Diana attended the Star Screen Awards wearing a off-shoulder Falguni and Shane Peacock crystal gown but sporting it with a faux bob. A wine-hued shade on the lips sure would’ve sealed the deal for me but the glossy lip wasn’t a deal breaker either.

Ms. Penty still looked lovely.

These days where everyone sports gowns, I do love seeing a sari on the red carpet. But, there are also times when I wish, the person hadn’t. This was one of those rare occasions.

It hurts to say that even more considering Madhuri’s makeup was so on point her. But, that sari! Never liked the skirt version on Alia. Dislike this too.
