ICW 2017: On The Runway

Comment image 27

The India Couture Week recently concluded in Delhi and as expected there were plenty of showstoppers from the cinematic world. Some fared well, some not so quite. Yep, we’re looking at you, Huma.

While Shilpa wore her brocade gown well, I wasn’t a fan of that puffy blouse. Alia sure shimmered in her Swarovski top but what was going on with that skirt? Between the color and the rosettes, we were not fans. Not one bit.

Between the men, Arjun had our vote in the classic velvet.

Who were your favorites?

Catch the rest of the folks inside.

  1. Ahhhh Arjun is looking so handsome, I am dying here. I am so proud that Milind Soman and Arjun Rampal belong to India. They both are the most handsome supermodels till date. Hotness personified. <3

  2. so loved diya… esp the neckpiece. rest all are cases that happen when ‘designer’ meets stars… u cover yourself in anything without your own mind.

  3. Bhumi , Athiya & Aditi – their expressions indicate they would just rather be anywhere else than where they are!! why do actors not have better expressions?!
Alia – interesting blouse, but that skirt looks like the bottom of a frilly moth eaten Victorian era wedding gown. Designer indeed!
Shilpa – again, banging HOT body but low on class. Sigh
Ranveer and Huma look like your neighbour-hood uncle aunties who come to the balcony in their housecoats (while semi-dressed underneath) – maybe to yell at the kids for breaking their windows?
Arjun – sigh… if i stare too long at him, i think my screen will melt!
Wouldnt Disha’s lehenga look great with Alia’s top (in a more golden hue)

    • Hahahaha neighbor hood uncle & aunty. Perfect description of Ranveer & Huma.

And yes Athiya & Aditi always look like mannequins. About Bhumi LOL. And these are “actors”.

  4. Huma as usual is dressed the worst. Trashy that look is. Shilpa looks hot, what a body! But not a fan of the gown. Alia looks nice. Dia looks charming. Arjun <3.

  5. I absolutely do not like this trend of actors being showstoppers or even being on the ramp..
We have some great models out there who deserve to be showstoppers..on magazine covers..n what not!
Case in point.. Arjun rampal ..even after these many years he can make us swoon when on the ramp.
That’s why modelling *is* a job.

    • Ditto. A thousand likes to your comment. They are stealing the job of models. Such a disgraceful act. The models sell the clothes much better. Case in point: Arjun Rampal. Back in 90’s models used to be models, they had some recognition.

  6. Shilpa continues her tacky run, Dia’s outfit looks like it’s from a different century, Alia’s skirt is just horrendous, Huma’s looks like a housecoat on a petticoat, Disha, Athiya and Bhumi look good. Not sure what Aditi’s outfit is. Ranveer looks infectiously happy and Arjun – well, he’s cool.

  7. Shilpa is working the hell out of that gown. She did full justice to it and her leg is on point. Huma is a different case. The less we talk about it the better. Diya looks ethereal. sigh.

  8. I dont know why Huma is being such a hard time (here). I dont think the showstoppers get to choose the outfit they showcase. Or do they? The designer picked out a horrible piece of clothing for her, and she just showcased it.. poor girl..

    • I was just wondering the same thing – do these showstoppers get to choose their outfit or the designer just gives them something to wear? Huma does not look happy in that outfit! I wonder if the showstoppers can just refuse to wear something like what Huma was given.
