Natasha attended the amfAR gala at Cannes on Thursday evening wearing a Gucci gown with a crystal heart minaudiere also from the label. I didn’t quite like the hair here but now that I’ve also seen the runway version of the gown, wish the logo bustier/bra had been completely lined or atleast had the star nipple cover. The round ones looked a last-min improvisation because of a change of mind.

Last minute decision? Not sure about that…unless she and her stylist were going for a nip slip style, I imagine the round covers were very much a deliberate choice. As much as a I appreciate her creative, bold choices this is one I can’t seem to get onboard with. I think there are some runway looks best left to editorial rather than real life, and this is definitely one of them.
She’s not tall enough to pull this off but great effort and confidence.

Eww…this is all kinds of a disaster. Not to mention, the gown is terrible to begin with. And that minaudiere is so tacky. NatP is a favorite of the bloggers but even they have to admit on some level that this is a bad outing of the socialite.

This is fashion beyond my understanding so I’ll refrain from commenting on her dress but is she slowly morphing into Beyonce? I can’t unsee it.
It is not a last minute decision – it’s well through. The dress is plain ugly and u only talk about the hair….shows your bias for this woman.

God awful ! What has she done to her face ? Looks like a scary costume than a gala outfit. Everyone in the background seems to be in elegant black tie and she looks like she landed at the wrong event

NatP is the only Indian woman (at least the only one to court the media) making bold fashion choices and acquiring fresh-off-the-runway stuff but with her light skin and now-light hair, I can’t help feeling she’s trying to pass off as a Caucasian. Pity.
This looks like a Halloween costume put together in haste. Not working a bit. Bad bad choice of the outfit itself. Fully lined or star covered, the black portion alone is not going to save this outfit.
The miniaudiere is just adding to the tack factor.

I kinda love that bag. I mean paired with this mermaid drowning in seaweed night gown it looks extra tacky. But paired with something else it would be fun.

after following you guys for 9yrs, i have learnt few important lessons. What looks good on the model, might not look on some celebrities, and what looks good on a celebrity might not look on us. few clothes are best left for magazine covers. this one is for a bedroom.

Honestly, it makes sense that she has moved full-time to London. She actually has places to go where her wardrobe actually sort of fits in. It always felt like the access she had to never-ending luxury looks didn’t align with the kind of events she attended here. Now she pops in and out of a lot of high-profile events from LA to Cannes… Very much aiming to become an international socialite coz she genuinely has run out of things to do in India. She would have worn this at Karan Johar’s birthday had she been on home turf anyway.
I don’t really like this look mostly coz her hair colour reminds me of my friend’s Cocker Spaniel dog, but a part of me always looks forward to her sightings coz she never seems to run out of fashion energy. She gives it a lot of thought (sometimes, over-thought and overdone). It’s just fun to see someone from India go head to head with the world’s other eccentrically dressed filthy rich jetsetters, y’know? I mean, who are the ladies who can sort of represent India on the luxury fashion scene… the Ambani girls aren’t exactly fashion-forward. And before anyone says Who Cares, this is a fashion blog. It’s fun to see people like Natasha parading around like exotic birds.
100% agree to this! having lived between paris and london and working in luxury i’ve longed to have someone represent india with fresh of the runway, bold, who cares if i fit in look! natasha is exactly that! yes sometimes it comes off as too much but i don’t see anyone complaining about Dorothy Wang, EJ Johnson, Paris Hilton and others who no real claim to fame other than being party poster people

Ok need to add a few more haha… this is just awful on so many levels. This just goes to show that it doesn’t matter how much money you have, it can’t buy you class and good style! Sorry Natasha but your choices (or rather you highly paid stylists choices) are just not suited to you. Something might work on the runway and then on someone theatrical like say a Lady Gaga but stuff like this, just doesn’t look right on her!
I agree with the sentiment of watching these rich jetsetters with all the money spend their moolahs on such events. I cannot look past her face though. She no longer looks Indian…as so many have pointed out. This dress was not meant for a busty lady.
I am also curious if she is half or full anglo/caucausian or is it hair color? Anyways, nip covers – hate hate hate… star circle square whatever shape. We do not make that part so obvious then just cover … Solid bra’ish or whatever that sheer black half thingie is called, would have worked better.
Also, i have seen this kind of garment in old movies or series women wearing it as nighties …sheer and feathery cuffs… Even if it is coming back, keep it to night time inside home.
