Diwali Diaries

At one of the pre-Diwali parties, Mini was photographed wearing a silk kurta and a layered skirt (or is that a sharara?). Jewelry aside, she rounded out the look with sparkly potli and jootis. She looked nice.

  1. She’s a lovely bright woman.. I really like this entire look even though I’m not big on red, this particular red or the sheen fabric maybe too much on eyes.

  2. It feels like she repurposed a great cheerful boho dress into indianwear. Unfortunately, the pairing doesnt work. She rich top needed bottoms that can complement it. This is too dull.

  3. Lovely bright kurta. Mini looks radiant.
None of the styling choices work though, imo. The bottoms, jewelry, juttis, bag…everything looks too dull set against the red.

  4. This makes her look unnecessarily bulky. That being said, I do love how she tries different stuff all the time and gets experimental with doable styles, and often times it works and even inspipes my style choices! If she’s reading this, my 2c would be that she should go more for Vnecks (less of choker style accessories, and instead do slightly longer necklaces). Or tie her hair up when she goes for close necks/ chokers. With close necks, a chandelier earring would visually add more to her jaw and neckline.

Also, a slightly fitted/ structured top half works so much better (like this is one of my fav sightings of hers https://www.highheelconfidential.com/mini-mathur-wears-payal-singhal-lakme-fashion-week-2018/#comments)
