In Laith Maalouf

At the Filmfare Achievers Night, Manushi was seen in a yellow and dull pink gown by Laith Maalouf. Waist up, Manushi looked great! Waist down though was a different story. I may sound like I am anti-slits but am not. In this case, the angle of the slit was way too high and it seemed to make Ms. Chhillar quite uncomfortable as was evident by placement of her hands on the thighs in some pics.

  1. I actually quite like this on her. Ver risky I know, but if she’s not bothered then why should I be. I like the colours and she’s got the body to pull it off. And that’s face… smiling away, so gorg!

  2. jeez why not just go nude. Ive seen a lot of the same styles on Hollywood red carpets too. Whatever happened to leaving something for the imagination?

  3. Everything about this gown is so wrong, totally agree with how uncomfortable she felt while walking..she was trying to avoid the paps which is an irony itself…

  4. She looks phenomenal waist.

If this was a regular sheath gown below the waist without that rumpled bedsheet train she would have rocked the heck out of that outfit.

As is, waist down this is horrendous.

  5. Great styling cannot save a disaster of an outfit. What was the designer thinking, putting that vibrant yellow-gold with that limp, dishwater-coloured mess of a train? And the construction of the gown is so off! It’s as if the designer does not have any idea about what women’s bodies look like. That slit is plain ridiculousness. They could’ve just made a reasonable looking dress with the same yellow fabric, and it would have been beautiful.

  6. Wow so much “Dubai aesthetic”(oxymoron) posts topped by this plastic version of a bark dress with mom’s saree made into a bustle. Props to her for looking unfazed.

  7. How much shorter could it be? It’s skimpy, the Color is great, had it been a normal length on both sides it would’ve been way better. What’s the cloth bag like thing hanging on derrière. Bw seems to be going no clothes sooner.

  8. This is an absolute nooooo.. not against slit gowns but this one is wrong in so many ways.. and Manushi – why wear something when you know it ain’t comfortable??? The slit was so awkwardly placed .. I wonder how she sat through the award night..

  9. I may sound old fashioned but the slits in the clothing’s now a days are going the wrong way. The deep necks, side cuts, back opens, front slits while men are almost always fully covered (except for 6 packs showings)…biased dressing…men should fight for there rights 🙂
