In Aadnevik

Kiara was seen at the Style Icons Awards wearing a metallic cutout gown from Aadnevik. Given all those cutouts, am glad she kept it simple with the rest of the outfit. She wore it well.

Now, here comes the but. I don’t know if this event calls for this gown. Go ahead, call me nitpicky. It’s been 15 years of doing this. I have thick thick skin. πŸ˜›

  1. Yikes. There is a time place for everything. Current Bollywood is clueless. And tasteless so. Fashion and style are long buried.

  2. She looks stunning! Glad that she kept everything else simple. However, something looks incomplete. The fit also seems a little off, there’s this huge gap in the fabric that runs across her torso. I’d like to see her take some fashion risks, and go with edgy, spunky stuff. She usually picks very safe looks, but she rarely goes wrong,

  4. She’s beautiful n that’s about that. She kept it simple n that’s the reason this didn’t ended up in tacktastic category.
On the other note! PnP – loving the new spirit! You guys are back to your old self.

  5. Feel sorry for these ladies to be focused solely on looks and their need to prove their looks all the time. No wonder at every opportunity these Women try to look sexy as only that sells. These actresses hardly think. Their stylist gets them some designer clothes and they just run along with it.

  6. Congratulations payal and Priyanka, I myself am following this blog since 2009 when I was 19 years old so thats almost 14 years of me being with HighHeelconfidential!

I remember Instagram was hardly a rage at that time and blogs like these were our go to destination for the latest fashion inspiration and bollywood style. So much has evolved since then.

Almost all the blogs of that time have faded out but Im glad this page remains as active as ever.

    All the best!

As for this post, Kiara can do so much better. I would put it in the Tacktastic category!

        • Started in April 2008, and have been hooked since. My husband, nephews etc make fun of me because I never close this website on my phone, it is always open on Safari. I do have my differences with P&P at times and do feel disappointed on occasions. But that is what a healthy democracy is all about! So despite these hiccups, and despite Instagram churning out content by the second, I remain an avid follower of this blog. Thank you Payal & Priyanka, you’re obviously doing something very right.

Love you both. The blog is a part of our sub conscious now. I auto tune in and check a few sites to get a respite from work/ life…ndtv and highheel are on the list. It’s a place to find relief…to find fun…and love the commenting community too. What a great job you girls have done…keep going….the sheer regularity with which you have been doing this without ever missing a week for 15 years is just seriously awesome….we love you and feel like we know you from such a long time…keep going

      • +1 on following HHC since 2009. It gave me an opening into the world of designers and brands and I learned a lot! Happy to see it still going strong.

Sometimes sticking to your roots is all you need. There’s no need to branch out and HHC is true example of that.

All the best to P&P for many more years to come!!

Another silent follower since 2008. Everyone in my family knows that if I open the laptop, the first website im pulling up is HHC. Every. Single. Day. Thank you for keeping up the good work. We cant appreciate you enough.

  7. She looks awesome, obviously… As for “appropriateness,” what is that? To me, it seems that the younger group of Bollywood female celebs wear a lot of clothes that are absolutely inappropriate. But who is asking me, and who even cares any more?

A particular look or aesthetic garners a lot of eyeballs/comments, and others pick it up, to capitalize on the wave. The style lingers for a bit, and then it’s replaced by another one. Public memory is short-lived, and so is our attention. Everyone is looking to be entertained, and we get bored easily. Ergo, you have this endless and utterly forgettable parade of clothes, styles, accessories, etc.

  8. With all that red in that dress ,by a designer who doesn’t know the difference between a gown and a bikini, she looks like a bride in her honeymoon! Maybe that was what her team was going for ?!

@P&P – Was that last part in jest or in all seriousness? Has it been 15 years to the day? If yes, Huge congratulations are in order!

  10. After reading about the 15 years, I needed to chime in – I remember the old site so I’m dinosaur years old, haha. Don’t always find the time to comment, but always come here to get my fill πŸ™‚ The titles of posts were so creative and who doesn’t like a good old what-the-heyyyy! My favourites are always the bag-related posts and I remember Priyanka talking about her bags.

There’s a certain decency in the posts and I also appreciate not posting kids’ pictures or body-shaming anyone. And I’m glad that the old-style commentary is back on the menu these days, after a few years of lull!

P and P, thank you for being a constant in many of our lives.

PS: I still don’t have Instagram, so really appreciate the website still being there!

  11. 15 years, really?! Congratulations on continuing to be such a fun website to go to, despite Instagram. Also congratulations on developing that thick skin, much needed. I visit this page frequently to see your comments, even though the fashion is already viewed on Instagram. I especially love coming on Monday mornings knowing there will be many posts to view from the weekend πŸ™‚

    Anyways,
About Kiara, i agree.. she is looking really good and hot but yes it looks swinwear. Also i noticed that after wedding, it more of show for her.. it was same with Aish ( our own ms rai), all of sudden she was wearing deep plunge necklines when she was married..
Problly a way to break stereotype of newly weds.. in their own way

  14. OMG all these comments make me nostalgic too. Been here since 2011 I think. My fave category used to be WTHeyy. MissMalini and HH were my go to sites for time pass and destress. MM sold its soul quite a few years ago and I don’t know what the site is like now. I’m grateful PnP have kept HH the same ?not jinxing it.

All of my education on brands and style have come from this blog which I tune into every day as well. Keep up the great work P&P and looking forward to more such content from you guys πŸ™‚
