For The Ages
Ms. Bachchan attended her movie’s screening wearing an Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla embroidered coat and slip dress. A matching silk potli rounded out the look well. She looked good!
Her (Jaya’s) look reminded me of the separates seen on Kiara not too long ago. She too teamed a long embroidered coat with matching separates, taking a more youthful approach with a crop-top of course. Can’t say I was as big a fan of this look- the fit on that embellished top seemed off.

Forget the Clothes, her ‘Always Exasperated Face ‘ is making the look go down. a Smile would have been such a nice accessory ! the clothes…..well Meh!
Critique the clothes, not her expression. She looks great. Stop asking women to smile. Men aren’t held to the same standards. They can glower all they want.
Since there is a woman featured here, the ask to smile was for a woman.
If there was a glowering man the ask would have been the same.
Stop making everything into a gender issue.
Pleasant expresssions and clothes generally go well !
Oh but it is a gender issue isn’t it. No one ever asks a man to smile. Besides why do we forget this the pap. And a woman doesn’t owe them a smile for a living they make out of taking her pictures. Besides, her consistency shows us she truly does not like flashing cameras in her face. We all wear clothes when we glower don’t we?
Tamara, I went and looked back at all the men featured on these pages, most of them are not smiling and nobody questioned why they were not. But since you brought it up, I will now rephrase what I said without making it a gender issue. Stop asking people to smile. Critique the clothes, not their face.
Jaya B looked resplendent in the videos.
This cape style is something that Judi Dench favours a lot –

no. Jaya actually fares better. on Kiara it looks cheap
To sum up her style, the Bhaduri of the 70s was a lot better than the Bachchan of the AJSK era. But this is good, it looks striking with a feisty vibe.
Loving Mrs. Bachchan’s look a lot more than Kiara’s.
Jaya looks good whenever she tries that silhouette. No different here.
Jaya’s coat is terrible in terms of shape.. It has sbsoltely no form but the embroidery is beautiful.
Love long jackets but given the average Indian height and love of jewelry/accessories, I wish more designers would make them with three quarter sleeves. really elevates the look and so much easier to manage.
kiara’s not a crop top but a bra. this silhoutte is not supposed to be form fitting. not every dress is supposed to be form fitting. this jacket is a very common wear in Pakistan
I love that she doesn’t feel the need to color her hair. Overall, this is a fabulous look.
These coats look like wearable blankets maybe it’s the print.
I think Jaya’s hair looks fantastic — very striking.
I mean the double standard that exists- scowling men are sexy. Scowling women are bitches. She does have privilege though- how many women in india can really tell 100s of men off safely like she is
