Reception Style

The newly weds hosted their wedding reception on Sunday evening where the bride was seen in a white and black Manish Malhotra gown paired with emerald and diamond necklaces and the groom in glittery jacket and velvet pant set also from Manish Malhotra.

We wish the newly weds the best.

  1. She seems to have a thing for that neckline making a comeback after the yellow suit appearance.

On the whole nice looking, but no so bride like imo. But they do them. So that’s okay too!

    • I’m reminded of a penguin wearing emeralds and am stuck now. Such a pretty woman, wish she had paid some attention to wearing a nicer outfit. This looks very, very glum and nothing striking about it and the emeralds just feel purely garish and l showy and not in a nice way either

  3. Love the look, a classic black white. Idk what’s that ethnic neckpiece doing on a gown, also the low super squared neckline looks bad, it’s too tight from what I see.

  4. Given Kiara’s proximity to the Ambanis (and their obsession with emeralds) I wouldn’t be surprised if this was a gift from them. Let’s just say that the mister looks better here.

  5. Uh ohh. Kiaras outfit doesn’t work at all. Who wears black to their own wedding. A cheery red or good would’ve been so much nicer. This one looks to gloomy

    • Whilst black is non traditional for the wedding day itself, many modern brides opt for black at the reception so not totally shocking. Plus this is black and white technically…

  6. Subtract that bottom row of emeralds and this would be so much more impactful. As it is the necklace and neckline clash with each other. Having said that, Kiara has an innate elegance that shines through. They make a gorgeous couple<3

  7. They are in love – and that is the best accessory. Maybe it was more a cocktail theme they were after (and hence why some guests’ attire fell in what the heck category), but with the best of designers at their beck and call, would have been nice to see more uniqueness and better setting of the armor of emeralds. So it is a reflection of the designers ability to deliver and up the client.

  10. Manish Malhotra the neighborhood tailor/ aspiring couture designer is back. The bride and groom look great inspite of bad clothes and tacky jewels. What happened to elegant understated Jewellery. One doesn’t have to wear egg sized emeralds and rubies all the time. Is Sid wearing shiny pants?

  11. Both of them look great here.

Kiara could have replaced the emeralds with ruby for the wedding – same neckpiece different stone.

Or could have gone for a futuristis ruby necklace here.

    I am liking this look.

Just thought a different gem for each event would pack a punch.

  12. I think the general idea was to do something different. That’s why we saw light pink lehenga, lught pink paired with emeralds, the groom wore a heavy kundan necklace and not just a bead necklace and now this. Might not be to my liking but they seem happy. Cheers to them!

  13. They look so happy and in love and that’s the best look. But strictly talking about the outfits, the bride’s was nothing to write home about. Not striking in the least and that necklace is having an identity crisis. The groom also seems to be wearing three different shades of black and it’s just not the sharpest of looks.

  14. Yes they look happy and that’s wonderful— but this is a fashion critique site! The clothes are just god awful for them both! The dress in black and white is very meh. That necklace is just so awkwardly large and is wearing HER. Her makeup is super on pointe, she does look lovely chin up!

His outfit is just atrocious. Is that a mockneck turtle neck??

I think MM did them seriously durrrrtyyy

  15. Guys their reception theme was cocktail. It was not a traditional reception where people would where traditional kind of clothing. They both are looking great.
