Kangna looked lovely at the recent Awards in a black dress. Pearls, updo, nude pumps and a Lady Dior bag completed her look. Love the vintage vibe and as nice as she looked, and I know most of you will disagree with what I am about to say next, the look just felt costume-y. I blame it on how firmly the imagery of Holly Golightly is imprinted in my head.

I think a look is costume-y when it is cheap, ridiculous or over-the-top. When it pays tastefully done, albeit obvious, homage to a classic look, it can hardly be thought of as costume-y. I think she looks gorgeous. If anything, she reminded me that the new season of Mad Men starts Sunday ;).
yeh all i can see is holly golightly too.. i like the look, but black heeled pumps would have finished off the look much better

i saw a close up image on another site and was blown away! Sheer fabulousness!! her make up is radiant and flawless, and making her skin look translucent. Such a perfect finish for this amazing look. Thumbs up!
I agree with you, this looks too costume-y. Kangana needs to stop putting on a “character” at every appearance… it’s not Halloween every day.
She looks really nice here..but my only complain is that she doesn’t have any particular style of her own, she embodies different looks all the time and I can never tell if she Kangana or somebody else. Her identity is missing..
