Kalki attended a critics award event on Tuesday wearing a black silk sari featuring gold leaf pattern motifs. While the sari itself was delish, the drape that she did did not do it justice. The short pleated pallu at the back just made the sari look unnecesary bulky cuz it bunched around the hips, an issue easily fixable by either wearing the pallu down or the pallu being a lot longer at the back.

ooh, what a sexy saree. I pictured myself in it at a cocktail party, somebody’s luxurious terrace, a busy city around us, jauntily holding a drink…evoked such romantic ideas…until I saw the drape, lol.

she’s obviously going for a ‘look’ here. c’mon, it’s kalki, she’s so slim, even a bunch of material around the widest part of her body won’t make it unaesthetic.

Too focused on exposing as much skin as possible in the process ruining a stunning saree
Looks like it was difficult to drape too, looks so glamorous though, what women wore for parties until 90s.. maybe still do but the high fashion outfit of the days.
I love the sari but she hasn’t worn it well.
