At the risk of LOTS of down votes, am not sure from which angle this is worthy of superlatives. The saree and blouse are interesting no doubt (though those scallops are totally unnecessary) but this would have looked so much better with an open pallu, neater hair and a big bindi. Kajol looks unsure in this, which is odd given that she’s usually very comfortable in sarees.
Nowadays sarees are styled like gowns and gowns like swimwear. Well have to accept the ‘saree can be experimented’ jingo. The pallu is held up like a dupatta probably to show blouse and abs. Idk, just thinking.
i have no issues with experiments with sarees — insta is full of ordinary people knocking it out of the park — but this isn’t an experiment! it’s a pretty saree (even with scallops) that deserved to be embraced and draped to display its full handpainted beauty.
even the pleats are off here. it’s just a disservice to the saree.
