For the ‘What Women Want’ taping at a local radio station, Kajol picked Amanda Wakeley separates to wear. Her accessories for the occasion included jewelry from Misho and Aquamarine, and pair of Jimmy Choo pumps.
I wasn’t the biggest fan of this look. The shirt seemed too stark for the skirt, it just didn’t work! And the long tassel/tie at the neck worn loose was especially problematic. Also, given that the skirt itself had a sash/tassel at the waist also worn loose, the two seemed to compete/clash with each other rather than complement one another. This was bit of a miss.

You guys serious? Yeah, the tassels are unnecessary but she’s looking good and the look is way better than most of the looks you guys say ‘worked for her’.
P&P, either your taste has drastically changed and not in the best way or you’re biased or it makes business sense to appreciate even terrible clothes.

I disagree, I think for a change these bloggers are right. This is not working.
Skirt looks like a Chinese blanket with velvet trimming.

I feel she may trip over and fall any time over those long sashes. Also did she try and match her top with her skirt – matchy matchy sashy sashy ? Was she thinking that if both the garments have a sash, they would work ? Lastly, is that a square tablecloth that has been re-purposed as a skirt ?
Agreed. Both of them work as separate pieces, but the pairing is off.
Tassel hassel aside, she is looking gorgeous
I quite like it. I love ties and tassels anyway so I don’t mind that they were in both. But I guess the skirt tasks tied up with the short tie hanging lose might have worked better but personally don’t mind it as is either. Tassels are tassels, what’s not to like 😉
other than the the long tassel/tie at the neck this really isn’t that bad. She looks fine.

She looks too made up, such an appearance needed lighter make up and a wispy hairdo. Kajol seems to be trying too hard, often

Both the white face and the competing sashes are distracting
