Janhvi picked a custom Falguni Shane Peacock gown for her appearance at a recent Awards event. I want to like this look, but it was hard to.
The contrast between the warm-toned chunky sandals and the cooler tone of the dress didn’t quite work. The matching embellished gloves instead of adding an edge or novelty to the look, only made it look very dated… The color had a big role to play in it! In the end, it looked like Janhvi was cosplaying Ariel (The Little Mermaid) and didn’t do a very good job of it.

I saw this gown in the videos and the colour is absolutely lovely – I just think that a different actor would have carried off this gown better (without the costume-like gloves). I am thinking of Aishwarya, maybe Bipasha, Tamannah, and Konkona (with her hair in a slick bun).
Nice color, looks good on her.
Dress looks like 90s beauty pageant style.
Would have looked better if the hair was tied up with some good accessories.

why do all the dresses on stars look better on their own ig account, than here and on Diet Sabya? Does their team just do a fab job of editing, lighting, etc.? I dont understand. Like I loved this look from her account, then here when I see it, I am like, “I see what you mean” 😐
Because it is a photoshoot first. There is lighting, background already picked to make the outfit stand out. And then add on to that, instagram filters and photoshop.
