Wearing a sheer sari by Rocky S, Divya attended the AsiaSpa Awards on Thursday evening. With the color of the sari being black, the ruffled pallu was rather downplayed and it worked in her favor. She looked nice.
I do wish though she’d added more color to the look. Perhaps a ruby colored clutch as well to go with those Mirari earrings she sported.

I don’t like this one bit. It has the 90’s tease that verges on being costumey (I could almost picture Sridevi in her aqua saree in kaate nahi kat ti). Also the whole sheer saree takes away your attention from the ruffled pallu. I noticed it after I read your description.

The navel show cheapens the look. May sound like a prude here but the nude makeup is kind of further making the look “naked”. She could have gone for winged eyeliner to transform this look from unsavoury to bold! As is, this looks quite cheap to me.
+100! Plus, she has a very feminine face yet here she is looking bit manly. Hairstyle to be blamed!
True. She does look manly. There is this knack of making a saree look elegantly sexy without boob show or navel show. I believe only a hint of navel show along the petticoat waistline looks appropriate. There is too much going on here but then Divya has always has that element of disappointment in her looks. Never been a fan of her fashion sense (if there is one!).
She looks nice. Agreed, some color by way of clutch would have made this look pop up more. Also wish she had a bit of kajal on her.

I may be in the minority here, but I love the sari!! I just wish that her hairdo and makeup complimented the classy sari . She looks unkempt and I don’t think that was what she was going for.
Divya looks nice, glad to see her maintaining the minimalist streak. 🙂 Don’t really mind the navel show either, it’s equivalent to showing a bit of cleavage or wearing a minidress.
For once, her pallu is draped fully over. I guess the sheer sari and midriff exposure left her secure enough to not do the one boob show.
The saree looks rather lovely, but the lack of makeup and the unkempt hair brings down the look.
She looks superb as always.

A better make up job could have helped her look nice. She always misses the mark for some reason and try hard, she does.
