After a few dressed up looks at the airport, we saw Ms. Padukone in a relatively casual sporty one while she jetted out of Mumbai on Thursday night wearing a Chanel jacket with navy track pants. I could’ve been sold the jacket and pants but the Gucci Sylvie bag felt so out of place here.

We get that airport looks have become less about personal style and more thought out styled appearances but here that bag looked more like a product placement. No offense to the bag though. It was delish!

  1. “airport looks have become less about personal style and more thought out styled appearances” – Ugh. Can we turn the clock back on this one please?

  2. Yes Bollywood has taken this airport looks way tooooo seriously !! It has to be a perfect 10 everytime rather than effortless simple normal looks.
But eventhough I loved deepika look even the bag I think it compliments her look well

  3. Then why cover airport styles. If we all complain that the neighborhood isn’t clean but keep dumping our trash outside that problem is never going to be solved. Be the change u want. Stop covering airport looks give people some space. Let them be humans for a while-albeit a short while.

  4. DP exudes blandness in her sartorial style. Add PC to the list of post Hollywood blandness in our stars.

” that bag looked more like a product placement. ”
So says a site which sometimes looks like a giant product placement. Hardly a negative in these times.

  5. I complete agree with P and P ..it’s getting really ridiculous. Also I hate to agree with what Sonam once said…coz I really really love Deepika..but I think she really doesn’t have an individual style. So a stylist can make her or break her and sadly shaleena is really breaking her .

  6. Wow, there are a lot of snowflakes crashing the comments section because they can’t handle commentary related to fashion on a movie star’s paparazzi photographs! If someone like Ameesha stepped out wearing this, I doubt there would be such whining about judgemental post this or mean-spirited comments that. Face it: she’s more than happy to flash her teeth for photogs and she’s there to show off the designer bling she’s sporting, so people are going to comment on how it looks!

Oh and she looks tragic because that ‘product placement’ is at total odds with the sweatpants, basic top and shiny patent jacket she’s is wearing, not because there’s something wrong with well thought out airport style or product placement itself. Everyone does it, what matters is how and this movie star and her stylist rarely seem to be getting it right.

  7. I don’t understand why people are burning so much. No one’s criticizing deepika personally, they’re criticising the look, which is fair! Although I agree that airport looks need to stop being a thing

You have written something very fair and superbly observed and especially relevant in today’s times. I don’t see why everybody seems to be turning red. Looks like DP’s publicists are doing the works here

  9. It does look like ,she has no personal input and follows whatever her stylist puts across. Though i was put off by Sonams comment about this, know i see the point.

  10. Honestly even if paparazzi covers ur airport looks it’s very normal in celebrity business
But can the celeb themself just dress so so normal.
Some flights takes 10++++ hrs to reach but the way the celeb dress is way sooooo incomfortable
This deepika looks feel very comfortable thou
The pants the whiteT and a simple jacket looks really comfy to me.

  11. That bag looks like something I see on the roadside stalls in Hong Kong’s night market that only old ladies and tourists (mostly old ladies too) would buy. Just put a brand name on it and something that old-fashioned becomes trendy for no reason. I think the bag is quite hideous.
