Amrita took in two recent screenings, sporting two very different looks. For one, she kept things simple and fuss-free in a black dress. And for the other, she picked playful separates from Bhaane to wear. Designer bags and black loafers rounded out both of her looks. While the separates might not be everyone’s cup of tea, I do think Amrita makes both looks work for her.

Seeing Red

Both Kubbra and Nushrat walked a recent red carpet wearing red- the former picked a sparkly gown by Lia Stublla and the latter, a sari-inspired gown. Was I fan of either look? Not really, both veered dangerously close to ‘tacktastic‘ territory. But if I had to pick one, I do think Nushrat fared better at the Awards (even if not by much); she made the look work for her.

Sari Style

Wearing embellished saris, both Tania and Alaya attended recent wedding receptions held in Mumbai. While the former teamed her Falguni and Shane Peacock sari with emerald jewelry, the latter paired her Manish Malhotra sari with a diamond choker.

That ‘champagne-gold’ color of Tania’s sari did her no favor- it really washed her out! As for Alaya, that whole Manish Malhotra look is so played out. Wasn’t a fan of either look, or of the saris themselves.

For the promotions of her latest web series, Sobhita picked a draped Deme gown. I find this gown/look excessive for promoting a show and will leave it at that. Tell me if you feel differently!

Wearing Rocky Star saris, Ameesha promoted her movie in Mumbai recently. Again, hard to tell if she is dressing in character or not, but these looks sure seem dated. Can’t say I was a fan of either look!
