On the left, thats Nandita Mahtani at the opening of Bollywood Mischief and on the right, there she is again, spotted at the Lakme India Fashion Week in the exactly same outfit, once more! While its heartening to see celebrities repeat their clothes too, but twice in less than a month, and when at events you know you will be photographed, it would’ve been nice to see her style it differently, no?

On an aside, also spotted her at the Gucci launch party in a great looking dress!

She is carrying the new Gucci clutch (Crystal evening bag with Swaroski detail, Fall/Winter) in black patent but I don’t care for it much. Those tassels just don’t work for me! But here it is in Gold, and if it appeals to you, go for it!

Book Launch Launches Bag’mania..

The book launch in question was the photo-essay book about Sunil and Nargis Dutt written by their daughters Priya and Namrata. As usual, not only were the who’s who of Mumbai present but also making an appearance were their bags!

We (Well Heeled and I) couldn’t stop “oooh-ing” the uber-expensive Bottega Veneta Lizard clutch carried by Gauri Khan. (Life is really good when you are SRK’s wife!)

That’s Preity Zinta looking mighty fine at the Olay-Vogue Brunch at Umaid Bhawan Palace, Jodhpur, carrying a beautiful, droolworthy Hermes Birkin bag in an absolutely gorgeous shade of green! Pardon the cliche, but am envious… ‘green’ with envy, what else?!! (Ok, so her bangs are annoying but she’s carrying a bag in such a delectable color… am blind to everything else!)

And then there were three. Rahul Khanna, Gauri Khan and an unidentified lady in the middle. Gauri Khan looks totally washed out but it’s the lady in the middle that caught our attention for all reasons ‘bag’. You see what she’s carrying…? That’s a Bottega Veneta tote and we love.

Gucci At Cue

At the CUE Fall/Winter 2007 collection showcase, I spotted a lady sporting the Gucci ‘indy’ top handle bag! Though I don’t care for the whole tassels look myself, its been very popular with the younger Hollywood set. And this lady gets full points for carrying the nicest version of the bag in the chocolate guccisima leather!
