  1. Those bag renting sites are rather strange, even though they are immediately “cheaper” you would have to pay every month. It’s like renting a house vs. owning one, after a while, owning is cheaper. Which is why I plan to save money and one day buy a 1,000 Stella McCartney INVESTMENT bag (as she is vegan like me). I think high fashion pieces, for those unlike a certain socialites who own 20 Birkins, are really, truly investments.

  2. Yea.. I guess it would work if renting works out much cheaper than buying things you can’t afford. I am sure you can rent jewellery. I think…. a renting service like this would also work depending on the kind of labels it is offering.

  3. nah, not for me. but at least they have this: “The only hitch though is, for privacy reasons gaining membership is not easy. This club is like a secret society where membership is granted to discreet souls recommended by members”

  4. This sounds great! I adore designer bags but would be mad to spend that kind of cash on getting everything I want. I would totally rent and I don’t see the ‘shame’ factor as a deterrent as its practical in today’s time. Besides I don’t have enough closet space in this city! Sigh!

  5. i think renting bags is a great idea.. at a fraction of the cost.. a limitless wardrobe
i also buy bags but i would buy 3- 4 but for a new occasion or party i would not mind renting at all !!!
who cares if it is bought or not.. as long as it looks gr8 and matches my outfit i am more than happy

  6. Great concept. I think it will go great lengths in promoting fashion and brand awareness in general. The so called “shame factor” is rather lame given its been endorsed in a cult show/movie like Sex and the City. If anything, it will be seen as cool and trendy! Verrry Excciitting!
