On the recent red carpet, these lovely ladies sported metallic saris. While Ashwiny picked one from Paromita Banerjee, it was an Anavila for Tannishtha. Props to both for going the sari route! (Though I do wish Ms. Chatterjee had chosen a different clutch; the gold disappeared in to the sari.)

Oh no ! Both the dates are horrendous.
You won’t get appreciation just because you wore saree!!! yikes, too cheap for Awards function.. Cotton saree would have cut in this case..
Nice to see sarees but I wish they were classier and draped better .. I Guess a heavily featured red carpet warrants that much attention to detail

I like Ashwiny’s look, Tannishtha could have worn a black or emerald green blouse to offset the bronze sari. And of course another clutch.
Pretty sarees, but the blouses are rather bad. Regular blouses (maybe sleeveless for CHatterjee) could have saved these. Why are these long-sleeved shirt-like blouses in fashion now?! Rather sloppy drape too.
