We’ve said this before but it bears repeating- when folks dress the same way for movie first look/trailer/song launches, promotions, press-meets, product launches, birthday dos and wedding receptions, how do we appreciate a formal look for what it is?
Ananya looked pretty in her Marchesa gown at the IIFA Rocks event, no denying that. Was the outing exciting? Not by a long shot.

Let’s not expect Bollywood to understand high falutin concepts such as event appropriate dressing coz if they did, you wouldn’t have a blog to run. 🙂
The problem here is that the gown, supposedly Marchesa, looks like a bargain outfit for a bridesmaid.
It’s not the gown but the personality of the wearer that makes it bargain outfit
Points to her stylist for making efforts. She looks good.

Color , make up and hair all add up well for a nice soft look

They need to blare sponsor logos in our eyes. Pan masala supari ilaichi kesar tyre cement sim card chooran whatever sponsors them!
It simply dilutes down the importance and seriousness they claim.
A beautiful outfit that took weeks of hardwork, tens of people sweating to make it, with some pan masala company logo in the background. Perfect, innit!
but who is supposed to pay for this? this stuff costs and dont the ppl who pay to associate deserve their due? it’s nice to be all artistic but then they should pay for their own tickets to pick up the cost of the event.
Could have gone for a matte nude makeup look. This looks a bit loud for the gown
I think Ananya looks nice here, the gown is off beat, lovely and soft powder blue color.

At least she can walk in this, I feel like that’s an improvement from the KJo party mess, where she needed to grab on to someone to get up the stairs :/
The gown is soft and sweet looking. The fit at the bust is slightly off. But still, this will do.
She needed nude makeup, soft waves and soft nude sandals to vibe with the dress and offset its lovely shade.
Such a dull & unimpressive Marchesa dress ! Did they go through a sale bin to pick this ?
Priyanka bang on for the first sentence. All these ‘celebrities’ are so dressed up in their day today outings that there is not a single look that excites anymore. We need palate cleansers before any such events.
In this case this ethereal gown is let down by tired makeup and ghastly background. Red carpet should be red (or green) to give the right drama to each appearance.
