For a round of movie promotions, Alia picked a sari by Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla to wear. With flowers in her hair, she rounded out the look with traditional jewelry. Not in a million years would I have guessed this sari was by the designer duo! That said, it was a lovely sari and one that Alia wore well; she looked radiant.

I see many South Indian movie promotions. The actresses do not wear a saree and a gajra all the time. Whoever is picking out clothes for Alia has a very stereotypical view of the south.
That said the saree is nice but the gajra around the tight hair knot is out of place. The look ages her
Ageing is such a terrible thing. All aged women should be locked up.
Well if you read somewhere in my comments that ageing is terrible then I’m sure you have a great imagination.
A “look” that ages you is not the same as ageing gracefully. Hope you can understand the comment the way it’s written.
Half the time people are annoyed she looks like a 12 year old. Otherwise she looks aged. Maybe we should send messages via kabutar to Alia and let her know exactly how old we want her to look everyday.
why kabutar? why not modern devices? are YOU implying Alia is looking old?
Women in south India esp TN and AP wear gajra on a daily basis. Every single day! Even to work!

What’s designer about this saree, I wonder? All Indian women look good in a Saree, add a bindi, some jewellery and a Gajra and it is a lovely look. IMHO, nothing special about the look

Out of so many saree sightings that each actress is giving, wondering why they are following one boob show as a rule.. not even once, for a change, wearing pallu normally.. any idea?

If these so called elite Indian designers go to the nearest market and pick up a saree off the rack and label it high end couture most ditzy Bollywood fans would pay lakhs (and BW would receive lakhs to model it)

Rather unremarkable to me. Most women look very striking when they ‘dress up’ in a saree. Somehow this is very blah.
