At the opening ceremony of the 141st International Olympic Committee session, Alia and Ranbir were seen color-coordinating in midnight blue outfits with the former in a Sureena Chowdhri kurta suit. The outfit was nice, but I find wearing such salwars with heels throw proportions off a bit. I prefer flats. Am I the only one who feels that way?

Yes you’re the only one , I always wear high heels / heeled pumps etc with these style of pants . Taller women look better with flats & these kind of pants .
Such a needlessly harsh way to state your individual preference.
Both look nice, Ranbir looks so good I wish his kurta and jacket was wee longer , it looks caught up.
Agree — jootis would’ve worked much better. Or, if she had to wear heels to match up to the husband’s height, she could’ve chosen a different outfit.

A crisp silk salwar/churidaar kameez would have looked better for this ceremony. This looks more like she is dressed for an informal festive event.
Alia should give this hairdo a break . This suit needed a wispy bun.
I think heels look nice with this type of thing. Brings formality to what would be a very casual silhouette on anyone under 5’8’’

I don’t like the neckline design of the suit and the fit doesn’t complement Alia’s petite frame either. It’s a miss for me.
Agree. It feels rather baggy/wide for her petite frame.
