Alia attended the Jain-Malhotra wedding wearing a pink lehenga by Manish Malhotra. Instead of wearing a lot of jewellery, she wore only a big maang tikka which did make her look stand out. Just a tad bit.

She is looking nice. Color and make up suits her and minimal jewellery but mang tika is helping it stand out in a right way.
All of these lehengas look the same.
When it comes to Indian wear, the jewelry should be complete with earrings, necklace/chain, bangles, etc. Else the look is bare. And I am pretty sure the dupatta drape would not be so modest if Neetu was not around 🙂 as for the legendary itself, it’s your typical MM assembly line fare.

What’s with trend these days? ONLY maang-tikka in the name of jewellery… Looks grossly incomplete and more like, she could get hands on only that piece of jewellery while rushing. And NO, it does not look ‘youthful’ by any stretch of imagination. I wish her maang tika was smaller. She could have atleast worn a kangan or two. The lehenga lacks any imagination. I actually like the choli colour. Alia, to her credit still manages to look sweet!

They would, but men do not push the boundaries of fashion by wearing their jangi as shirt or boxers atop their pants. They are sooooo conservative- always covered from head to toe. It’s left for the fiercely fashionable ladies of Bollywood to show them how it’s done. Hahahahaha
