In Valentino

Aishwarya did interviews and photoshoots today at Cannes and was seen wearing a sequin emerald green Valentino cape-dress. Sure the dress is delish but for day events felt a bit much. Not too mention those clear platform shoes. They were so fug.

I guess we should be glad she didn’t sport her bright red signature lip here.

  1. Oh no no no. I think the dress makes her look boxy and short. And I was really looking forward to different hairstyles but I guess this is a preview to what we’ll see throughout her trip?

  2. Even though the dress is nice but it is meant (more) for winter season’s events, right now it is spring time in Europe so nice summary colors would look better. But these days only white and black colors dominate at Cannes, hopefully red carpet will bring the best out of Aishwarya.

  3. I find her so much more comfortable in her skin and more confident. I don’t think she really cares much about opinions and will go with what stylists advise. I like how south India interviews her vs how Bollywood does. She is the OG of Cannes and can give two hoots to our opinions. I am just happy she visits coz she brings the kitty cat out of us.

I like her hair and she looks nice. The dress is delish but agree not for day event but hey she looks nice. Don’t care about shoes but then think black and nude, will clash. Stylist went the safe route.

    • If she was comfortable in her own skin she would not wear her hair to cover her face and would not wear boxy clothes to hide her figure

  4. I like the make up and the dress individually- I wish she would do a different hairstyle to just elevate this look. Those shoes seem very uncomfortable.

  5. Much like Neha, she likes tents. And if that is her comfort zone , I have no issues. She is not 20, must know what she will make her at ease and should do so, Irrespective of fashion critics.

  6. This shade of green is not the best for her cool skin tone This emerald green is perfect for olive/ gold / duskier tones with some emerald eyeshadow: something edgy is needed with this green. Makeup is not suitable for this outfit:

  7. I highly doubt that there is going to be any change in the face covering hairdo. I feel that’s going to be the case for most of her looks. But one can only hope for the best.

  8. I don’t hate it as much, the colour os lovely on her and she looks fresh. And the lip colour is great too. I do wish she opts for more spring/summer colours. But I’ll always have a soft corner for Ash at Cannes

  9. It’s a gorgeous dress especially on the model, on Aishwarya it’s a beautiful Color, look, make up and change, but the dress looks like a shiny dress worn backstage just before or after performance as a cover up. Love her lip Color.
Those sandals are crazy ugly, almost like bananas packed in plastic in us hyper stores

  10. I think these pictures have been improved because in the original the lighting wasn’t great and her makeup made her look dull. Going by these pictures, she looks great!

  11. Maybe she is comfortable in this boxy style than wearing a dress that shows her curves….even though there’s nothing great about this Valentino except the lush colour

  12. i actually like her dress but why wear this for day time interviews? This is an evening dress or can be used for an editorial shoot.

  13. A bedazzled Hefty bag with a pile of hair on top. What ever happened to the ethereal beauty of the past. The auntie in the first snap looks smarter than the movie star

  14. He bhagwan. Why in the bloody world does she allow someone to dress her up this way. Don’t care for the hair either, but her makeup is spot on. Once again that beautiful face saves her.

  15. Finally some colour at Cannes.. Aish looks lovely. She need not look slim like the model, but she is happy being herself . That lip shade is amazing ..

  16. She wore the same color of green with sequins in her first release film Iruvar in a song- Hello Mr Ethirkatchi. May be some nostalgic factor here for her. That said, she was in her youth back then so the dress was not boxy. Can understand Age Preference in her non body hugging outfits but some how this one is not appealing.Secondly, have no idea why she insists on “Tere Naam” film’s Salman’s hair style in her every appearance! It is exhausting to look at her face covered with hair all the time.

  17. This is her best look at Cannes this year. Barring shoes, this is a salvageable look.

Delish color, lovely dress, fairly goog makeup considering it is Aish, and no sight of poker straight hair or red lip.

Thank God for small mercies and wait for the next Canne expecting some miracle to happen.
