Mrunal attended a few events and photoshoots on her second day at Cannes and was seen wearing a Falguni and Shane Peacock sari gown first and then in a customer Anamika Khanna embroidered full sleeve top and skirt set featuring a hood.
Loved her in the sari-gown. It was light-weight breezy and perfect. The AK look though was terrible. The patch design itself was hard to like but then to add a hood to the separates was just bizarre. The only respite is that the dress it seems isn’t her red carpet outfit. Hopefully she does better and not worse.

AK designs need to come with a manual for people like me because I really don’t know what starts where and ends where
As for the Shane peacock, the colour is great on her but the colour has been done to death by these Bollywood celebs in Cannes. Also, the design and the silhouette is not the best, it seems very repetitive. I understand the need to drape a sari-gown as well as have an international aesthetic but the look is plain boring. If the outfit was a bit more structured it would have elevated the look. This looks like a mix between beachwear, sari, cape – gown, too many things going on.
Both these looks – Absolutely atrocious !

The Anamika Khanna look is Avant Garde, best suited for editorials! Definitely not meant for an event!
Ok what is going on this year? These celebs represent India which is an honor and a privilege. Why do I feel like there is zero effort being made to do a decent job let alone stand out. This comment isn’t specifically geared towards Mrunal. I am not sure how much these celebs control their looks but their stylists are failing them big time.

I’ve said before ….. I don’t understand anamika Khanna . It’s always drapes going around in a haphazard manner .
Mrunal looks comical in first look ….. she’s fully covered on top ( head and all ) . And then bare legs …. Looks funny .
Second look is just boring seen it a million.
She always had a good run in India. This is such a fail!
We have such rich colors and sensational designers and she chose to wear these.
Could have picked better designs from the same designers. She seems lost.
