Contrasting her all black outfit with a pink Nikita Mhaisalkar coat was Aishwarya while returning to Mumbai on Sunday evening. Given that the actress was away from the country and the designer just previewed the collection a few days prior at the recently concluded Lakme Fashion Week, looks like Ms. Rai took the jacket with her prior to the launch.
Loved the jacket! Alas, with this being the only sighting we will have of it on Aishwarya, would’ve preferred to see it with blue denims and a white tee vs this all black one.

While we’re critiquing how best it could be worn.. she used it as a cover up on an all black travel wear.
Well if she did manage to get a designer piece that wasn’t even launched when she got it, I would say it is a crime if she “just used it as a cover up on an all black travel wear”….and we are right in critiquing the horribly mismatched look.
Why go all the way to get designer pieces when you are not going to put any thought or effort in making the final look work.
Maybe the designer sent it to her?? Just like they do to Most big stars.. pre launch marketing. Just thinking. Also it’s a pretty ordinary jacket, can’t be worn any better. It’s not like a Manisha Arora piece that’s wasted.
I hear you… Agreed the jacket is pretty ordinary… I personally don’t even like the pattern and color combination but it does look way better on the model than on Aish. If it was indeed sent to her by the designer, than I am pretty sure that the designer would be scratching her head right now… LOL
It is more about the general trend of things with her. She is very well capable of doing the same to a Manish Arora piece.. Sigh..
anyways, enough about this jacket already. Over and out.
I liked it better on the model, I think the length could have been a bit shorter..agree with the ensemble though, this coat looked out of place with her travel wear
She’s so tall and yet all her jackets still seem to be sweeping the floor…crazy. Personally don’t think she does justice to any of the ones she wears due to the uninspired styling, but the colour does suit her.
She is not an inch over 5’3″. She looks good and doesn’t seem to want to be a clothes horse.
She is 5’7”
The issue is not that she is 5’3″. Thats a good height for a bollywood actress.But what would that make Aamir Khan? 5’4″? Salman Khan? 5’6″? Shah Rukh Khan? 5’7″? Now THAT would not be acceptable. So she must be 5’7″.
I like that she wears what she wants.
She’s a lost cause. Maybe the stylists and PRs always want to keep us wanting for more, desperately. So even a marginal improvement like if she turned up in any non MM or non AJSK or non Sabya outfit, people would go gaga over it. If she say dressed up the way Sara Ali Khan would in a basic kurta and hair in a messy bun and nude lips.
Yeah I dont get her sense of style at all…
The jacket if nothing to write home about, looks like an old dressing gown with curtain fabric and print from I Love Lucy. Ash’s sighting makes it seem worse for the wear, pun intended :))

I am glad we wont get to see that jacket again ! it deserves to be hidden in the darkest corner in ones cubboard or hit HnM stores recycling bin asap
Pairing it with blue jeans & a white top would have made the jacket pop. However it seems so out of place for someone traveling . I think she wore if right before landing for the

Beautiful woman …. Wish her style choices and her team delivered more interesting vibes … nice print, but the length of that coat makes it a nightie, burka, pandemic wear … but most importantly she wore her mask properly and health matters more than any dress up..
What is the point of having a stunning visage if one is going to perpetually shroud it with hair! When it comes to committing fashion crimes, ARB is a habitual offender…I’ve long given up *sigh
These kind of long coats always reminds of Daler Mehndi in tunak tunak tun song.
Her “looks” are stifled and there is always an extra effort made to undercut her beauty…sad, but true.
Anyhoo, can anyone ID those black boots? look comfy…

It is such a let down.
Half of her looks would be instantly uplifted if she would just pull back her hair and/or style/tie them … and let her beautiful face shine.
