I’ve seen her wear these two anarkalis to social events.
The anarkalis are okay. I’m not sure why she wore something so heavy to a school occasion, but the headmistress once wore a floor-length shimmery suit, AB Jr wore a hoodie, Rohit Sharma wore a cap and Kareena wore leather pants 😀 I am not complaining.
I think schools are more chilled out these days.

Why not her though? We’ve seen Mira Kapoor and Vidya Balan covered here and their outfits liked/not liked on these pages for the same event. She is in the game. She is a star who models, endorses brands of cosmetics, walks runways, and is given designer wear because of her celebrity. So it is literally a large part of her job.
More than the same ol’ clothes, make-up and hair game, its the event appropriateness that is off here. She would wear something very similar for a wedding or for a Diwali event.
She had worn a similar anarkali to PS2 screening at Chennai.
