Rounding Up The Men

While Anil Kapoor like always looked dapper (in Dior Homme) and, Neil Nitin’s look like always begs for an intervention, it was Tom Cruise that caught our eye. For reasons other than the obvious eye-candy appeal. Seeing as how the others were dressed, Mr. Cruise’s rather laid-back, casual look stood out like a sore thumb at the premiere. Denims, really?

  1. Tom Cruise … Whoz shirt are you wearing btw ???? 😛 but with that face, the shirt can be given a miss 😀
Anil Kapoor is looking dashing as always !

  2. Dhanush is a refreshing contrast to the insufferable dandiness of Bollywood men. Here’s a novel idea – simple is stylish.
On the same note, Mr.Kapoor is one of two men in Bollywood who can pull off looking dapper, stylish and classic without looking foppish. (The other, of course, is Rahul Khanna 🙂 ) Also, I didn’t know he was that short!

  3. there is a sequence in the new Mission Impossible film where Cruise clambers up the Burl Al Arab wearing Capri pants…so keeping that in mind, this wardrobe seems acceptable 🙂

  4. it kind of puts me off.. if it was any other place in the world.. would tom go like this??? there seem to be a ‘take it easy’ attitude with his dressing..

    • that exactly i my first reaction ! denims and those shoes really !?

gives an imression that he thought he dosnt really have to dress up here cos he dint think it was a big deal !

    • The thetans ran off with Tom’s good suit.

Some publicist must have told Tom that all desi stars dress in polyester safari suits and rexine chappals, so Tom decided to wear his American version of the same (abercombie too-tight shirt made for a 18 year old with blue jeans and dirty looking work boots). Talk about taking “casual India” at facevalue 🙂 He does give GREAT face though.

I think flavor of the moment Dhanush looks good as does the always stylish Anil Kapoor.

Neil Mukesh and Abhishek need a fashion intervention pronto.

  5. Omg-is he serious? Why does he think its okay to dress like this in India… He looks so dapper at other premieres.
Same old wester mentality. The women go to india and wear the tackiest ‘bollywood’ costume saris and the men don’t even bother getting changed lol

  6. you know what..I think TC dint take this ‘bollywood movie premier’ thing seriously

Do you think he would show up like that for a hollywood movie premier? I think not…

  7. Danush is adorable – and Abhi doesn’t look bad, better than usual. Can’t stand Tom Cruise, don’t think he’s good looking, and I know he’s a lousy actor. I think it is a put-down to the Indian film folks in attendance that Cruise dressed this way.

  8. With a daughter like Suri, the least he can do is slip on a better pair of shoes. Else, it doesn’t matter if he looked casual, coz one too many red carpets can do that to you.

  9. Parroting what a dozen others said, its tough to look beyond Tom Cruise’s face! Most of us are not over our teen crush on him. That said, I hate the Occidental attitude – dressing down because its an Indian event.

Baby B looks good and Dhanush’s suit looks rather tacky, specially in the one where he stands next to Abhishek. Totally overshadowed by Abhishek’s suit that is far better cut and quality at least in the pics. I didn’t think I’d live to see Baby B have more presence than anyone else, but clearly he does!

Papa Kapoor wins this round for sure.

  10. I’m kind of surprised by all the Tom Cruise love – I don’t know anyone who doesn’t think he’s a crazy fool. That being said, I do wish he had worn a suit, since he’s usually on point with his red carpet choices.

Anil Kapoor looks dapper as always, and while Danush’s suit is nice as well, his posture is pretty awful.
