Wish List Wednesday!

You will agree that when she first burst on to the scene, she had some rough edges on her, and we mean that in the best way. It meant she kept it fresh, individualistic and while not out and out edgy, did have bit of an edge to her. And then she dove in to the industry’s expected leading actresses’ fall back sartorial look-book morphing in to another pretty actress in a sequined sari.
We haven’t give up hope yet. Here are some of our picks that we think would look great on Shruti both straight off the runway and some slightly modified. We’d love for her to be both Glamorous and Individualistic.

These might be bit of a stretch but we think she could totally work them. If nothing else, it’s a gentle nudge towards this other direction she could take.

Love to see that you guys are supporting Indian designers and sticking to homegrown style in your suggestions for these stars. Indian fashion has come a long way and I would lover the bigger female stars to be more supportive in wearing labels like these instead of sticking to the Dolces and Cavallis.
I wonder if Shruti will ever experiment wit outfits like the Kalol and Sabya ensembles you have suggested..but I think there is a good shot of her taking your suggestions on the Western ensembles.
Please do a wish list for Raveena- such a beatufiul woman in serious need of style tips for her off-set appearances.
I think you should also try Karishma- she doesn’t wear many Indian lables except Manish Malhotra!

These are amazing options for her! Especially love the Vizyon one! Shruti used to have edgy hairstyles as well when she started….but now even that has stagnated! Wish she’d bring out her inner rockstar again! :)
I really liked these outfits…but I don’t think Shruti has the personality to carry any of them off.
Once again, I am struck by all the creative, witty, fashion-forward work that Indian designers are doing. Even the designers whose work I was not into (Swapnil Shinde, Nachiket Bharve) have upped their game, by the looks of it. On a different note, I know this is a wish-list for Shruti Haasan, but I’d love to see that Pankaj and Nidhi ensemble on Anushka Sharma.
i was gonna suggest that pankaj n nidhi one but now that i read ur comment, i could totally see anushka in that outfit. its so her! Nevertheless, shruti please yaar, abhi bohat ho gaya tera sati sabitri wala natak.

Can’t blame Shruti on the change, after all she’si mostly concentrating on Tamil/Telugu movies. She really can’t do a rocker chic meets pavada davni( lehenga) out there since most of the events i see her appear in HHC are for a audio launch, movie premiere…

OMG i have been lusting after the swarnil for weeks eversince i saw kanishta dhankar wear it,i wanna go all out Olivia Polermo on that that gown………..jus imagine lusty jewerly oev rtaht gorgeous color……..

why do indian designers come across as a copy of western high street stuff or imitating the other high fashion designers from abroad?? not one look here seems to have an original aesthetic!
