Wow! I was going through Vidya Balan archives & came across this look thinking I have missed out on seeing this and then my eyes settled on the date of the post. :D

Coming back to the look – I must say, she has definitely stepped up her fashion game by multiple notches. That is a lurvely, lurvely look. Everything – Hairstyle, jewellery, the beautiful sari (‘khaki’ points for the gorgeous pallu) and that glowing face, has come together beautifully. Love the addition of that dainty bindi. You are ruling Vidya, keep giving us such looks. :D

It’s not nice behaviour to put her pic up here. You are knowing that she will get mean comments. She’s not claiming or trying to be fashionable or explore or express herself through fashion or clothes. Why you can’t let her be.

Don’t know what you’re going on about, most people are saying she looks pretty here, as am I!

      1. Shereen at | | Reply

Ya, but that’s a one off rarity. In most of her other posts, people have written mean things, even in the last one where she was wearing a white sari.

As has been said before, it’s the bloggers themselves using fake avatars.

And your proof for that ridiculous statement?

          2. Payal at |

If we had 48 hours in a day, perhaps! :)

Unfortunately, between life, work, and family, we don’t have a second left for such nefarious activities. :P

            LOL at Payal’s response…good one..

She’s wearing a designer saree and designer jewelry. She’s wearing make-up and posing for photographs. This look was probably put together for her by a stylist. Yet, you say she’s not in it for the fashion?!!!

Well done a good deal of vintage charm here. For a change liking the wide neck blouse too.
#armpolice will quibble for sure though.

She looks drop dead gorgeous, and the styling is lovely.. She looks so much better with the style and fitting of the blouse and her hair tied up..

She looks amazing. I notice she gets a lot of negative comments on her looks and outfits. Maybe she is no fashionista but she is amazing at the job she gets paids to do and that is acting.

high time someone realises that its acting which these bollywood beauties are suppose to do.being a fashionista ain’t the objective.
sadly smita patil awards still go to Kaif.:P:P

Hair looks very untidy. Can’t look anything beyond those stray hair!

      There you are!!

    2. slc at | | Reply

Ummm ….the hair is suppose to look like that. They are called ‘wisps’ which gives a lovely soft look, which in Vidya’s case is quite effective.

      1. Moni Pal at | | Reply

Okkk…but here wisps are not looking crisp..lol

        1. slc at | | Reply

Weird way to describe her ‘wisps are not crisp’. Pray elaborate. Vidya’s wisps are thin, delicate strands, (kinda circa 1950’s bollywood) that oh so softens her gorgeous face

        2. Asha at | | Reply

Crisp wisps, really? talk about nit-picking.

She looks so gorgeous here. Tying her hair up really makes for a refreshing change. I’d love to see similar ensembles on her esp the dainty bindi. Bonus points for not choking her neck with those ginormous neck pieces.

She looks absolutely gorgeous. Nothing to fault. Love it from head to toe. The make up, hair, jewelry and the saree are perfect.

Absolutely love her in this; the muted make up helps her real beauty shine through , the wispy strands are so flattering, statement earrings instead of a statement necklace, everything is perfect

She might not be a fashionista but man what an actress. I have known her right from her modeling days ..we used to go for auditions together in the local trains and even then we all knew she was going to make it big. Coz she just comes alive in front of the camera and that sadly cannot be said for half of these actresses . So while her sartorial skills might not be up to the mark, she was and will always be an actress , not a fashionista
