btw its really strange tht she got engaged in absence of her only sis..im sure they must have known this date well in advance, as they had ample to design her jewelry and saree.

Agree – finally a MM sari that I like! She’s looking nice – hair, makeup, body(wow!) ,face, great jewellery, nice sari color (sari is not blingy like typical MM stuff)
Agree! This is the only MM sareee that I like. Otherwise they are way too blingy for me. I also do not like the new Filmi draping (One boob showing kind) and I think that also made a difference here.

I agree that Shilpa is hardly the epitome of less is more BUT in her defense, an Indian wedding is definetely not the occasion to do minimalist chic. Again, I do agree that Shilpa’s sense of stye is hardly simple, but I just think that there’s a time and a pace for everything: an Indian wedding is not the time or place for understated or subtle, especially if you are going traditional.
Well then, I guess I’m a bit nontraditional in that I am not going to do that when I get married :)

She looks lovely… the pink color suits her complexion, and she can be a great brand ambassador for the ‘Indian Saree’.
I just thought the neck jewelry is a bit much, considering the simple ceremony – just one piece (minus the choker) would have got my vote! Overall – Lovely lovely!
Her saree is draped well, and her makeup is flawless, but I really don’t like all that jewellery! there’s just too much of it.

the choker is stunning. she didn’t need to wear the other necklace. i’m glad raj kept his outfit simple. i like men who can let their partner shine.
I think her make-up was just perfect. She looks very elegant.
The sari is gorgeous and she wears it well. Everything else however is not so great. Firstly, the hair is so boring, looks awful.
Secondly, why does she always insist on wearing SO much makeup? She is caked in the stuff. The foundation is looking ashy around her lips, the contacts look horrendous, and thedrawn on eyebrows look is dated.
Her lips are always overcoloured too. I wonder what a bit of pink gloss would look like on her!!
I don’t understand how many of you pick up on other actress’ makeup, whereas Shilpa is nearly ALWAYS caked in it.

The make up is flawless, the jewellery is beautiful, the sari is draped nicely, individually everything is nice enough, so why is everything just short of really awsome? Ummm… I think its because there is just too much of everything, too much jewllery, the sari is overdesigned… what looks like frills on the edges for godsakes… the gold sari blouse much too predictable, her hair remains too beauty pagentish and her fiance has just too unshaven. They look like a couple on thier way to a blingy Diwali Party. Stylish but inelegant.
