Dia is like a beautiful well dressed doll…I can’t remember the last time she dressed badly…always simple, elegant and graceful…i so wish a certain Ms. Rai Bachchan would do the same, being equally beautiful but with less than good taste in clothes…

    1. DressyDresser at | | Reply

equally beautiful!??? Aishwarya is MILES ahead in beauty!! Of everyone.

      1. mary at | | Reply

sadly beauty to South Asians is fair skin, light hair etc. judging by that Aish and Dia are beautiful no doubt but personally I feel that the jkind of earthy beauty of someone like Bipasha or Chitrangadha much more attractive.

When i scrolled dwn the pic,i was expecting some legging/churidar.Dress is so indian-ish and looks she forgot churdar.
No doubt color and dress is gorgeous on her.But legging and shorter length would have given it complete look.

    1. Bharati at | | Reply

agree, it looks like anarkali without the churidar.
like mix/match gives you multiple dress options, manish’s making miss/match, tie a belt on your kurta and miss the churidar and voila you have a dress.

      1. iamcelebrity at | | Reply

she should have altered the length… its neither knee length nor ankle ..just wrong

        1. mary at | | Reply

I too can’t get past the missing chooridar and the fugly shoes.

  5. Dips at | | Reply

The dress looks fine with the earthy feel to it, the footwear needs to go….
Dunno wat footwear will look good with this dress!

  6. ants at | | Reply

Lovely.. Goes to show you dont have to try too hard to look beautiful.. Side note: Where r the men?? Missing seeing some hotties :)

  7. Devi at | | Reply

She’s always so well dressed!! Love this color on her.

  8. dia at | | Reply

ooh! she looks sooo pweetty! i can’t believe she made a manish malhotra dress look soo classy!

    1. dia at | | Reply

except now when i look at it again, i do wish that string around the waist didn’t end like a curtain holder with tassels like that.

      1. Hema at | | Reply

Yeah! I was thinking the same thing. What’s up with using curtain tassels as a belt? Designer got lazy??

        1. MojitoLover at | | Reply

          MM trademark. :)

dia always looks great….she pulls off everything with such a vibrant attitude. this dress looks great on her…i love the color :)

This is such a beautiful dresss!!! who is the designer?? Diya looks drop dead gorgeous !!!!!

She always knows how to carry herself, just like lara, deepika n all

    1. SS at | | Reply

Haha.. Did you say Deepika?? Please don’t compare Dia with Deepika.

      1. SS at | | Reply

I think vp is allowed to have her/his own opinion, as is everybody else.

        1. Stuti at | | Reply

Are you two different SS’s? I was so confused for a sec! ;)

          1. mary at |

hehe true Lara and Diya are a class apart. Deepika is in the same category as Katrina and Priyanka.

love the color and it is great that she has worn no accessories with the dress. not liking the hemline and shoes. I am SO happy to see that she has cut her hair, she looks great, so much more her age.

  12. priya at | | Reply

not liking the uneven hem area. other than that, this is a 10/10! she looks STUNNING.

  13. divi at | | Reply

WOW! love the color and above all the way she has accessorized the outfit. Lovely.

The dress is struggling with a bit of an identity crisis but Diya manages to pull this off. On anyone else this may have been a Wtheey!!

  14. lk at | | Reply

did manish rip off his curtain to make this..!

  15. Aathira at | | Reply

COlour looks great on her… but that belt is a let down.

  16. Vanaja at | | Reply

I loved the style, the color, the tassel belt but the footwear is a little let down I feel.

  17. Amu at | | Reply

Her dress looks like drapes/curtains of a hotel lobby. I am baffled at how many people like it.

  18. MojitoLover at | | Reply

I wish the dress were shorter – knee length or shorter.

  19. Dits at | | Reply

Love the color! I liked it till I saw the trademark MM- satin band at the bottom. That ruins it for me.

  20. kanchan at | | Reply

Really? It looks like she forgot to wear the rest of the outfit! Which probably wouldn’t have helped the look any – hate it.

  21. mj15 at | | Reply

luuurrve…except the awkward lenght that makes her legs look like twigs and the terrible heels that only add to the twiggy leg situation. I have really skinny legy, and the one thing i avoid like the plague are chunky footwear!

  22. Monika at | | Reply

The footwear is so not working here.

  23. sri at | | Reply

i like the golden brown color of the dress. thats one of my fav colors..dia looks stunning as usual. like the short hair too. tassels were a must on sarees pallu in good old days. its like an indian vintage thing

  24. SumiLove at | | Reply

    Gorgeous. Love the shoes, too!

  25. dn at | | Reply

What a cutie pie… she looks so beautiful. Makes an MM creation look so classy. The tassel belt is also okay, don’t mind it as much as the footwear. Love the colour.

  26. charan at | | Reply

she is nice and all but this dress is UGLY and the shoes are very chunky for this dress.

  27. pdaervo at | | Reply

She makes MM look classy. There is no further denying her sense of style.
Although it may have looked better knee-length.

  28. Anu C at | | Reply

Dont like anything about the dress, but Dia totally saves it. Anyone else would have taken it to frumpy-land. God I wish i carried my clothes like she does.

  29. Saya at | | Reply

Dia with her personality and elegance adds so much more to any ordinary dress. This outfit is borderline ugly with that tacky border and tassles but she magically makes it work. <3 her style and charisma.

  30. Bili at | | Reply

Dia’s always presents herself well in a ladylike manner. Unlike most of today’s want to be sex kitten Bollywood actresses, she always looks alluring without revealing too much.

  31. lolita at | | Reply

…love her look waist up only…..

  32. Harjot at | | Reply

She looks like she belongs in a medieval play…

  33. Laveena at | | Reply

Yeah its looks nice, but it somehow feels like she’s missing a churidar underneath?

  34. Swati at | | Reply

This dress is wrong on so many levels …. dunno how dia makes it work … but she does … looks so pretty … i would actually love to see this dress on someone else, i’m pretty sure that it has alot of potential to look WTHey on anyone else

  35. Maze at | | Reply

The shoes are too chunky, and it looks like she forgot her pants. The belt/sash doesn’t work either, probably because she was pantsless.

  36. ilovelookbook at | | Reply

she sure can make clothes work – lovely style, beautiful face- but whats with the pinched look – she looks like shes got an onverbite with all the weight shes lost.

  37. Dia at | | Reply

    Dia pajami hkaha hai?

  38. DressyDresser at | | Reply

C’mon guys! Are you all serious? She’s beautiful, yes but this dress is so not! And she’s definitely not making this work. She doesn’t. Stop being biased.

  39. RM at | | Reply

Cant believe me saying this – but I liked the dress (minus the tassle) .. I liked a MM dress :)
    Diya looks lovely…

  40. mohini at | | Reply

she forgot the bottom/pajama/chudidar/salwar, didnt she ?

  41. manisha at | | Reply

again she looks flawless. if theres one person in this world i want to look like, its dia! just wish the dress was a taaad bit shorter, but still love it and how she wore it!

  42. ID at | | Reply

The colour is nice and warm..but not digging the dress that much…llove the shooes!!absolutely yummy.

  43. Kiwi at | | Reply

Only a Dia can make an MM dress look gorgeous. I normally don’t like brown coloured clothes.. but this rust shade is looking great on her.. what a feminine woman. Will forgive the tassels.. the shoes could have been edgier

  44. Azeeza at | | Reply

    TOTAL SCORE. Amazingly executed.

  45. sony at | | Reply

This dress looks as if its an anarkali..missing its bottom

  46. zina at | | Reply

odd length…either, wear a churidaar or wear a shorter dress…

  47. sej at | | Reply

I think the color is nice…. i agree that the length is odd…its stuck between an evening dress and a suit….. the fall of garment is badd…it seems that the border is quite, affecting the fall of the garment, and the latkans in this case is giving a very curtainy effect, could be because of the color and the look of the fabric..

  48. sej at | | Reply

border is quite stiffer than the fabric*
