In Sabyasachi

Aishwarya, who is a SmileTrain ambassador, attended a reception celebrating the charity organization’s millionth surgery. The do hosted at 10 Downing Street in London saw her in a black Sabyasachi lehenga paired with a black floral top (not sure if it too is Sabya) and finished out with a McQueen knuckleduster clutch and belt.

I wouldn’t mind the belt if the top was all black but given the floral pattern, the top half looked a bit odd. Is it a deal breaker for you?

  1. Complete deal breaker. Love the bottom half but the top is just too reminiscent of cheap and cheerful made in Taiwan monstrosities. Seriously what was her stylist thinking? That and also the hair. Why, why don’t Indian female celebs ever experiment (properly) with their hair?

  2. Only Aish can go from a bombshell goddess to a fashion catastrophe in less than a month. This fusion of east meets west is horrid. WHY MUST YOU GET OUR HOPES UP SKY HIGH AND LET US DOWN AGAIN AND AGAIN AISH?? #k #imdone #rantover

  3. Eesh. I was waiting for this to happen. She’s back to her usual. This look is beyond horrid- where to begin pointing out what’s not.

  4. “I was waiting for this to happen” ???? Seriously?
Unbelievable comments… . Reading the comments, on this post and all posts featuring Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, I feel this is less of a Fashion blog and more of a platform to bring her down repeatedly. Such Hate! Tsk Tsk!

      • So??? If someone doesnt praise them when they dress up in such terrible outfits, they are haters??? Pls note that people are only allowed to criticize (or appreciate) the dressing/styling of celebrities here. Nobody has anything personal against her! I, for example, called her the most beautiful in the cannes gold gown appearance because she did look that, and her outfit did flatter her. This one is horrid. and she often wears such horrid outfits. So if a certain reader says they were “waiting for this to happen”, WHAT, may i ask is offensive to you about that??!!

  5. Neck up, gorgeous, hair as well as the make up. Not feeling the skirt at all. And the belted, one boobed laced top, is just weird. Clutch is cute though.

  6. The change from Cannes is not so difficult to figure out. The Cannes outing was sponsored by L’Oreal and this one by an NGO. Hence such a difference in resources provided by the sponsor: L’Oreal brought in their top stylists, designers, make-up staff etc. for the NGO, she must have managed by herself.

  7. Nooooo. Not again .. Please I cannot see anymore “look I can sweep the Floor just by walking ” dresses and hair shouting ” all I want to do with my hair is create a curtain around my face ” .. Grrrrrrrr she has such a nice body and hair and every time she ends up showing up like this .

  8. I agree that this look isnt the most flattering… but suggesting this go in the WTH category is completely unfair. She look’s alright – her Cannes spree definitely upped the bar, but you have to treat each appearance objectively. This coming from a non-fan.

  9. Too much going on in that outfit. Very messy. Looks like she draped her mother-in-law’s curtains and used her father-in-law’s garish belt from his “angry young man” days. And she wore that lehenga to jahdu lagana 10 Downing Street. ROTFL!!! way to go “Queen of Cannes”.
