I dislike animal prints and dislike the bag even more! Besides I think that the only person who can do animal prints is Shipla Shetty. Some people have a signature scent but Shilpa has a signature print!!

Hey what happenned to the Miss World…why is she living up the bhabhiji look!

  3. Nepali at | | Reply

This is not a bag I would buy with all the money in the world, but I am slowly opening up to things that I didn’t give a second look, and trying to let go of the boundries I created in fashion for myself. I think this bag will go well with a plain maxi dress in beige for a relaxed resort look, or with a structured garment for a sophisticated professional look.
I really want to say something nice about her ensemble and highlight it, but, well, the colour of the salwar kameez is nice.

that tote is ugly!!! and it costs way too much!

Imo,. That bag would look so much better at night.

I do not like the combination of this tote with her suit at all.

    animal print! yuck!!

I agree with sonal…aishwarya really does give a bhabiji vibe a lot these days…I think age has caught up with her…and there is also nothing refreshing about her sense of fashion…I have always felt that she tries too hard and glorifies herself for who she’s become in the industry…bias aside…the salwar is average…but paired with thebag, it makes the outfit look uglier…coz she cant carry off that print…its just not her!

I love YSL and the Downtown. But this is just sheer torture. Why do we have to see animal prints everywhere? They scream tacky! X-(

  11. Nidhi at | | Reply

Why do I see sleeves in one pic and sleeveless in the other? Are these pics from diff events?

  12. _*Dia*_ at | | Reply

i agree with Nepali. this tote is not great to beign with and to pair it up with salwar kameez is pushing it.

  13. CocoNUT at | | Reply

I can’t believe that fugly bag costs more than a down payment on my car! I really don’t mind the bag, but not paired with her outfit…it just looks all wrong

  14. U at | | Reply

Is this the same event and the same suit because there are sleeves in one and not in the other.

The suit is pretty and simple and the tote manages to ruin the look and actually makes the simplicity look like a bad thing which it isn’t.

umm is she wearing 2 different salwars? In one pic, its sleeveless, the other one its cap-sleeved!! Random observation.

I think she looks like a normal Indian lady…nothing wrong with that. Just because she was Ms. World, doesn’t mean that she has to walk around with a Tiara and paint on her face all her life. I think its really time to cut her some slack, people.
Lets just take our frustrations out on the newer flock – Sonam , Frieda etc (see how bad it sounds!)

That said, the bag has to GO!

she never gets it right…poor girl!!!

Hi Nepali, I agree with ya. The color looks nice on her. and even though she looks a bit tired, it’s a casual look so no critique from my side either.

  18. pdabre at | | Reply

Even though I am a die hard fan of aishwarya ….. I absolutely detest her dressing sense…. and these above pictures are very good examples of that… what a waste of gifted looks! Its like she tries really hard to look bad everytime in terms of dressing…its disappointing.

That bag is ugly. I hate animal print anything.

According to the story, Aishwarya was in Bhopal to visit Abhishek’s grandmother, aunt and cousins.

I can’t believe I am saying this about YSL but I totally detest that bag, hideous!! It looks like a cheap rexine thing one would find at Linking Road / Colaba Causeway or Sarojini Nagar / Lajpat Nagar…..yuck!!
And is it just me, or has Ash actually packed on a few pounds??

  21. Nepali at | | Reply

Hey Rashmi, you are hardly around nowadays, too crowded for you? It used to be pretty quiet here. Yeah, she looks good in anything actually. As long as one is happy, that’s all that matters.

  22. dn at | | Reply

Ugly bag, period. The rest is average, and I am confused about the sleeves as well.

  23. ria at | | Reply

The pictures look like from two different times. In the first its a sleeveless and the 2nd pic has short sleeves and work near the nech. Just the color’s the same.
Give her a break. She is not in her 20’s anymore and neither does she need to be dressed up always.
Its just that the media and people have so much fascination about her they never leave her alone. Even on family visits like this one she is followed and criticized like so many comments here.
What do people expect in mid 30’s. She looks fine. Couple of pounds here and there and she is talked about.
Put a sack on her and she will still look gorgeous.

Correction, That’s neck. Sorry for the wrong spelling !!

She is a beautiful women with no sense of style, the tote is ugly and I saw smiliar ones in Ross and stalls in Newyork city that are sold for $5 or less

  26. charan at | | Reply

Looks like she wants to be “satya savithri”…
I have no problem in her wearing a salwar, but she looks like she is trying too hard to give herself the “adarsh bharatiya nari” image so all the aunties and uncles will like her.

  27. charan at | | Reply

For instance… Nandita, Konkana and so on dress up pretty conservatively but they dont look that **what the word** ahh “bhenji” types.

  28. zara at | | Reply

My God, that bag is hideous, especially for the price tag. I also don’t find the salwar kameez very flattering; the pale color washes her out.

It’s annoying that gaining a bit of weight = “bhabiji”, according to some people. It’s one thing if she were massively obese, but she looks healthy. In fact, I think Aishwarya looks better when she is slightly heavier; it gives her an ethereal quality.

  29. Anu* at | | Reply

Yup, totally different dresses. One has sleeves the other doesnt. Also necklines are different.

But one thing common — Both are yucky!

  30. peechu at | | Reply

her salwar kameez from the first photo looks like it’s from Cottons..she wears a lot of stuff from there. she looks cute, but the bag was SUCH a bad idea.

Hey P&P, you guys missed her Marrakesh film festival appearance on the site? She looked lovely there. Is she on a green spree?

  32. Fancy Nancy at | | Reply

    Hey P&P,

The first picture, with her and Abhishek is at the Bhopal Airport. Don’t know where/which event the secong one is from.
As for the bag, I don’t like it one bit!

  33. dn at | | Reply

Thanks Payal, no wonder I was surprised at how slim she looked. Reminded me of her first Cannes appearance.

Let’s face it, this woman hasn’t an ounce of style or even plain dressing-sense. That said, I think we shud let her be in this case, cuz it was probab a personal outing and not a public event.

  35. sarita at | | Reply

I like the bag and of course it is impossible for this woman to not look good. @brenda: I think she is the richest woman in bollywood

  36. Prem Rogue at | | Reply

What a ghastly bag! I wouldn’t touch that revolting thing even to put it in an incinerator.

  37. Antonia at | | Reply

    I adore animal prints ^_^.
But this style of bag is looking very matronly.

  38. viz at | | Reply

oh man! shocking! tsk tsk what is wrong with her..

You know why do we criticize any time these stars step out of their homes. They are on a family visit or in the airport, they dont have to be dressed up to other people’s taste, do they?

A premiere or a party is different!

just a thought – maybe the bag is really a gift for Abhishek’s grandmother?
