In Satya Paul
While in Delhi for a Disney event, Vidya picked a Disney for Satya Paul sari for her appearance. Wearing her hair down, she finished out the look with gold-tone jewelry. Am not a fan of this sari but think had it been paired with a different do to go with its youthfulness, I could warm up to the look. The choice of jewelry also struck a rather discordant note.
See other saris from this capsule collection (Disney for Satya Paul) here and here.

She looks perfectly fine to me. The saree itself isn’t all that, but it’s still a good change from the heavy silks she usually wears, and, thankfully, she didn’t gimmick it up to suit the Disney aesthetic- wouldn’t have suited her at all.
+1
Just happy to see Vidya in a different kind of sari from what she usually wears. And totally agree that the no-gimmicks approach (apart from the sari, of course) is the right one for her.
exactly my thoughts!
I love Vidya’s sarees usually, but this saree reminds me of those cheap synthetic Surat sarees.
yeah :-/
pretty ordinary
What you saying. She looks great. Saree is not great, i agree… but she makes it work. Love the make up too
This woman is so gorgeous, i wish she would stick with blouses that have sleeves at least like these. A couple of inches shorter would be even better. She normally favours blouses with those baggy too-long sleeves like my grandma used to wear, and that just completely ruins it. She has height, a nice build, a gorgeous face with the most incredibly expressive eyes, fantastic hair, and good old charm. Every time i see one of those blouses on her, i feel like going… “Why Vidya, why! :(“.
I think she looks great…her hair and makeup are totally on-point….and while I wasn’t so sure about the Disney sari thing she carries it off with ease and charm!
I think any other do would have been overcooking the look (and what jewelry…I can barely see any)
Fab head to toe
Her eye brows look awkward..right one need to extend a bit.
Oh no, not another one going for that hair colour….sigh…
It’s a ‘meh’ saree. While I love Divya in her silks it’s nice to see her wear a saree made from another fabric.
Too many elements fighting for attention – that sari print, the hair – not on board with this look.
Dear all,
I am viewer of this site in US. I was looking at this website after a long time to see what to wear for Indian parties along with my 10 year son. We both were amazed how India and Indian people are changing as regard to the attire they wear to the parties. I want to congratulate, Vidya Balan and Kajol to step out of their houses in Indian Sarees. Too bad that our Indian women feel that in order to feel sexy they have to show their skin/ cleavage. You could still look very sexy, hot and glamorous in our Indian outfits.
