Vidya attended an event on Tuesday wearing a dress from Notebook with brown pumps and a oversized black bag. I didn’t care for the dress with its many panels and that random white button overflow design. The big bag worn on the arm also looked really awkward for a day event.
We’ve seen her do better.

Looks very severe like a uniform on Vidya, on model it’s more shapely .
Agree, the waist is wayyyyyyyyy to high on the model and way too higher on Vidhya and super unflattering
I think she’s looking really good. I just wouldnt have carried the bag like that.
Principally, the dress chosen by the stylist is great for her. The emphasis of the top being white and the panelled skirt to have black portion to create an illusion of a slimmer body. She wears it with confidence and a big bright smile which is what always matters.
If you didn’t juxtapose the picture of the model against hers, their would not have been any perspective given to the audience. Making her a 10/10 to try a new silhouette after ages.
She looks great in the second pic. The dress is unflattering on her precisely because it draws attention to the waist — holding the bag the way she does camouflages it to an extent.
Hats off to her for trying something new.
Kudos to Vidya for trying something out of her wheel house. Plus she is looking so confident here. I just dislike the shoes- their shade of brown and style seems wrong with the dress. Tbf, I dont even like the footwear of the model with this dress. I wonder what would “go” with this dress…
I actually don’t like the dress on the model – western body type wearing a dress feels bland to the taste buds now. I like the dress on Vidya. It new, it’s interesting, love the shoes and make up and curvy is in – babylicious.
It’s a very unflattering dress for her body type!! The dress is not much to write home about but her stylist did her wrong!!
