At an awards event, Tamannaah was seen in an illusion gown from Falguni and Shane Peacock and while she looked good in it, the abrupt end of the pattern right at the thigh looked quite weird. Just me feeling that way?

Exactly. I was reminded of the look of Rachel Weisz as Princess Nefertiri in the flashback scene in The Mummy Returns.
The sudden change to risqué sartorial choices seems a little forced… she should stick to styles that she comfortable with.

something doesn’t work with it — i think it’s the attitude. this dress, weird as it, has a definite intent and tamannah doesn’t gel with it. she’s just wearing it, not owning it.
that said, i don’t think much of the design either.
She does have a beautiful face and a great figure but this dress is poorly constructed and wouldn’t suit anyone.

Clean.makeup and a dress that’s fitting her well
The dress looks so ugly and it is not sexy in any way. I don’t know why poor Tamannah feels the need to experiment in such a bad way.
Looks like an incomplete Egyptian princess outfit. Could’ve looked awesome if the design had continuity, as if now it’s glitter n stone body paint.
The dress is debatable. Hair and makeup: top notch!!

The designers seem to have been inspired by art deco which I appreciate. That being said, the design could have definitely been better. There are much more splendid art deco gowns out there. Adding some art deco earrings and old hollywood hair could have elevated look further but only to a point.
