In Archana Jaju
Tamannaah was spotted arriving back to Mumbai wearing a pink Kalamkari suit from Archana Jaju with Aprajita Toor kolhapuri sandals. She looked sweet. Having said that, given the price tag of the suit, am curious if she wore this to some particular event else it is quite pricey one to wear just for a one-time travelling outing.
Update: To clarify more, given that she most likely was lent this outfit by the label, to wear it just for an airport outing seems like a disservice to the label.

Love the suit, it’s easy to find similar in Delhi, or westside/ fab India kind of stores.
In hand-drawn kakamkari? Very unlikely, I’d say, if not impossible.
Quality, print, etc aside, it’s easy yo get these. Idk if big designers copy these, its other way round for sure, been seeing these lighter breezy printed suits since 90s.
Maybe read up on kalamkari?
You don’t get it? I’m not even questioning the quality n cost, Kalamkari is an ancient art form, but the suit style can be pretty recent, n it is, and so available in non designer tags.
The comment on price is a very odd one. Most of the outfits – even the simpler airport looks on this page are way too pricey and I suspect are only worn once – so singling this one out feels odd.
case in point, the Rani Mukherji post right below this one
It looks like the bloggers feel the indian suit is overpriced compared to the ridiculous foreign brands worn by other celebs..last post (Rani)…, hence the comment.
Its the same way D&G, Gucci are named by the bloggers everyday but are too ashamed to name the fashion forward brand (Aditi Rao post).
The point I was trying to make is wearing such an expensive piece so randomly/dressed down seems like a disservice to the label especially if this is the only sighting we are going to have of it. It is open knowledge that most of outfits worn by celebs are sourced by a stylist from the label. I, of course, would love to be proven wrong and seeing this on her again. And this is not just about Tamannaah but most celebs.
should have been worded better
Airport pictures have become a big deal so I guess labels want celebs to showcase them at such a mundane setting. As to dressing down, maybe it’s her style. Look at Aalia in her brown Gucci look, all that money and she ends up styling it so drab.
That’s how I read it, Payal. I think you were saying just the opposite of what’s being assumed by the commentators on this post. Sometimes things get lost in the translation.
It’s not as expensive as other clothes featured
Pretty. I think celebrity fashion and sustainability cannot go hand in hand. And if she is judged for this choice then so should others be. And repeating an outfit just one more time should not count as sustainability!
I thought they get free clothes by designers.
That suit costs a fraction of the Gucci/LV/Fendi sweatpant/ trench airport looks seen on these pages. And it seems way more comfy!
this post should have ended at ‘She looked sweet‘ .
All words said thereafter were uncalled for.
If you’re calling her out for wearing expensive clothes for one time wear then please call out all the LVs n Guccis worn at the airport as well ..
stop the bias P&P.
If you’re referring to the LVs on Deepika and Guccis on Alia, the two do it as part their contract as ambassadors for the brands. It is work. In this case, and I am happy to be proven wrong, Tamannaah was most likely lent the outfit but one never sees them disclose it or credit the label. That is the nature of the business these days.
Fast Fashion brands like Zara are name on the blog all the time:

why now we are refraining from using the brand name?
Goind forward, we are not.
Good call if you’re taking a stand.
Just like how you don’t post kangana you could just refrain from posting anyone wearing a fast fashion brand rather than making a post n not taking names.. coz by making a post you’re still giving that brand some traction.
Also read up on the brand’s latest ruckus regarding a photoshoot.
Beautiful outfit!
If she doesn’t wear it again in public, maybe she will wear it in private with friends and family. Maybe it was a gift given to her by her friends or family or even the brand or she might have bought it herself because she liked it. Or maybe when she has to get to her travel destination, she has to immediately attend a function where this outfit will be very appropriate or well received.
Kindness people! Why is everyone so triggered by this outing!
Tamannah must be wondering- I thought I looked pretty good, why are people so upset by my clothes !
Haha, it’s because we are not content simply offering our personal opinions on the outfit, styling, etc.—we also want to have a moral stance on the clothes, their provenance, the brand’s value statement, the designer’s ethics, and so on.
We are nothing if not inconsistent in the way we stand in judgment on some ideas while remaining mum on others.
