We’d been holding off on posting Ujjwala’s Alpana-Neeraj for a while but Sonam’s appearance ‘In Character’ as Naina at the Player’s music launch provided us a good opportunity to showcase both gowns that featured luggage clip detailing.

Question is, whose gown do you like better? Ujjwala’s weave bust one or Sonam’s featuring a velvet bust.

Chanel‘s theme for Pre Fall 2012 was ‘Paris-Mumbai’ and in attendance was not only Freida but also Sonam Kapoor, both wearing dresses from the label’s Spring 2012 collection.

While Freida did a more casual look pairing her blue dress with black booties, Sonam went for a more formal look pairing her white dress with tights, pumps and multi-stranded pearls (how appropo).

Having seen some of Alpana & Neeraj’s other structured dresses, this one wouldn’t have been our first pick for Sonam. Perhaps, that’s why am not completely on board with this look.

Tom Cruise is in India to promote Mission Impossible and in honor of his visit, Anil Kapoor hosted a bash at the Taj in Mumbai with plenty of celebs attending.

For the bash, Sonam picked look one of Prabal Gurung’s Fall 2011 collection. I heart this red dress so much and I love the side pony Sonam sported. It highlights the dress so well. Am on the fence about the sandals and definitely not liking the undone hemline. It takes away from what could’ve been a 10/10 look.

A Bottega Veneta knot clutch completed her look.

Update: The unfinished hemline is part of the dress.

Gucci Mumbai hosted a soiree to celebrate the Artisan corner where the label’s craftsmen offered a viewing of their skills and assembled four of Gucci’s signature bags.

Sonam Kapoor was one of the few to get a signature Stirrup bag (green bag on the right) for herself and attended the event wearing Gucci head to toe, but of course. Love her look but the low slung belt is a bit of an eye sore. We’d have rather seen it more fitted on the waist.
