In Phoebe Philo

Giving us our first sighting of a piece from Phoebe Philo’s namesake collection was Sonam at the screening of a movie. She wore an asymmetric wool top and pant set by the designer paired with an Hermès Sac Toupet bucket bag and pumps. That top was quite boxy and while at first I thought she should’ve worn her hair up, I think that would’ve made the top look odder on her.

Feathering Heights

Sonam attended a birthday party her parents threw for poet and lyricist Javed Akhtar and was seen in a feather pant suit from Magda Butrym. I don’t mind the whimsical jacket but the cropped pants pushed this into comical territory. A bummer given how good she looked above the waist.

Looks like after the glove obsession, someone is in a feather one.

In Jigyam

Sonam attended a wedding event wearing a lehenga from Jigyam made from a vintage benarasi rangkat sari. Now, while the lehenga was absolutely droolworthy, the fact that a vintage sari was cut up to make this outfit that for Ms. Kapoor is most definitely a one-time wear really breaks my heart. I hope she proves me wrong and wears this outfit a whole lot more cuz it sure deserves plenty of rewear. If not, she can pass it on to me! You know I love my rangkats uncut! 😛

Travel(v)ogue

Sonam and Tamannaah arrived in Mumbai and were seen wearing brown jacket sets with black tops and sneakers. Sonam sure looked comfy. As for Tamannaah, to pair the oversized suit with those teeny sunnies just made the outfit look rather comical.
