While at two recent screenings of her movie, Ms. Tripathi caught our eye with her printed outfits. Whether it be the green Mirage by Parul Bhargava shirtdress or the lilac separates, the actor fared well in both looks. if we had to choose though, the shirtdress had our vote. Between the volume and the length, there were some pictures where the petite actor looked just a wee bit overwhelmed in the latter.

Sari Style

Wearing a blue Papa Don’t Preach sari, Shweta attended the screening of Masaan at the ongoing Jagran Film Festival on Wednesday evening. I don’t mind the sari but between the sequin work and the print, I did find the blouse a bit busy. Shweta, for her part, looked cute in the look but that is more because of her sweet disposition.

P.S. Anyone else getting a Mumtaz sari vibe from the sari itself?

Shweta, like her co-star Richa, also did strapless and pink at the screening of Youth wearing a Sonaakshi Raaj draped gown. Having seen so many versions of the gown, it didn’t quite excite but Shweta still looked nice. I loved her sculpted hairdo.

For the screening of Masaan, Shweta picked a pink Payal Singhal lehenga. We don’t have better pics of her but don’t quite need one either.

Between the odd-belted-half-sleeved-net-thingie/is-that-a-dupatta design and the spaghetti strappy top, I wasn’t feeling much love for the lehenga. Brownie points though for going desi.

Shweta attended the Masaan photocall wearing a white Shilpa Reddy look featuring a structured embroidered crop blouse. Between the heavy chunky sandals and the boxy shoulders of the top, I shouldn’t be liking this look, but I find that I do. The outfit looked cute on her and that probably has less to do with the outfit and more to do with her persona.
