Shilpa (wearing Pankaj and Nidhi) traveled all over India on Tuesday attending the store launches of her latest venture, Satyug Gold. On Monday, she was at Ghaziabad inaugurating another franchise of her other venture, Iosis Spa.

Her looks from the two days were as different as night and day but only one caught our eye. Which one caught yours?

In Rajat Tangri

Wearing a Rajat Tangri teal gown, Shilpa attended the Swades Foundation Charity auction event on Thursday evening finishing the look with a monogrammed Leiber clutch. The runway version featured a plunging neckline, but Ms. Shetty’s version featured an off-center weave pattern.

The problem, though, is that with between the very structured bustier style cups and the weave pattern, all eyes were drawn to it and not the beading of the skirt. Not to mention, the top half just looked a bit odd.

With a bit of double sided tape, Ms. Shetty could’ve rocked the original version. Am surprised she chose the modified one.

Wearing a Manish Malhotra sari from his recent ‘Men from Mijwan’ collection, Shilpa attended a jewellery event.

When it comes to Indian wear, Shilpa has a tendency to bling it on. Except, in this case, the simple sari didn’t need it. She could’ve picked a subtle clutch and earrings and would’ve still looked a million bucks. That is if she had worn the sari pallu better. I have this really bad urge to reach out and pull it up for her.

Wearing Neeta Lulla, Shilpa attended a recent launch. Taupe sandals, a belt to cinch in the waist and her tan Birkin finished out the look.

While it’s good to see Ms. Shetty change it up, am not entirely sold on the look. My first instinct was to dislike the electric blue pants/salwar but the more I look at it, the less I mind. The really issue lies with the choice of footwear. Would’ve made a great deal of difference had she picked a less obtrusive pair. Also, with the pants already adding a hard-to-miss ‘pop’, there wasn’t much need to introduce a whole other element to the color palette.
