In Milly

Deepika Padukone won the HT Most Stylish Global Icon Award and picked it up wearing a black cold-shoulder flared top and flared pants, both from Milly. Hair pulled back in a pseudo wet look, her look was finished out with spiked Outhouse earrings.

Having seen Ms. Padukone in a sort of similar black look during X3 promotions, I wish she’d worn something else. Don’t know about you, but I was left feeling underwhelmed.

In Sabyasachi

Wearing a hand-painted floral sari from Sabyasachi‘s latest Udaipur collection, Deepika attended the CNBC India Business Leader Awards on Thursday evening.

You’ll remember Ms. Padukone going very wrong with her first pick from his Lakme collection. That was not an issue here obviously.

While, overall, I thought she looked good, I do wish she’d not done the winged eye. Only because the middle-parted sleek ponytail was a strong element already.

Travel(v)ogue

After a few dressed up looks at the airport, we saw Ms. Padukone in a relatively casual sporty one while she jetted out of Mumbai on Thursday night wearing a Chanel jacket with navy track pants. I could’ve been sold the jacket and pants but the Gucci Sylvie bag felt so out of place here.

We get that airport looks have become less about personal style and more thought out styled appearances but here that bag looked more like a product placement. No offense to the bag though. It was delish!

In Designer Dionne

At an event for a razor product, Deepika showed off her legs wearing a denim dress by South Africa based designer, Dionne Campbell – Young.

A quick search on her Instagram and one wish Ms. Padukone had showcased one of the designer’s more interesting wax-print creations.

But then, given this event was all about showcasing legs, I also get the reason to keep the top half simple and draw attention to former. Those luscious Dolce & Gabbana sandals sure helped.

Wearing an H&M tank with metallic pants from 3.1 Phillip Lim, Deepika attended her Padmavati co-star’s birthday party on Sunday evening. At first glance, the low tank with the high-waisted pants felt a bit off. Just me feeling that way?
