Sayani attended the DFW South Asian Film Festival this past weekend to promote her short, ‘Leeches’, and sported saris on both the opening and closing night of the film festival.

Opening night saw her in a beige Sabyasachi sari with jewellery from Masaya which was more of a classic look. For closing night, she went the modern route in a 431-88 metallic one and finishing out the look with a burgundy lip and sandals.

Having been at the event ourselves and seeing Sayani’s opening night look in Sabyasachi, it was easy to pick that as the favorite among the two. The photos don’t quite do justice but the actor looked lovely in her sari.

A Three-Way Ditto!

This Nishka Lulla crop top and skirt look from Lakme Fashion Week has found quite a few fans. After we saw Sonakshi wear the separates without the mesh addition, Sayani and Swara sported the runway look as is over the weekend.

Of the three, who did you like this look on best? (That is if you can ignore Swara’s jhoomar, which we think she wore because she was doing a bit while promoting the movie).

Wearing Payal Singhal, Sayani attended the screening of Jolly LLB 2 on Thursday and sported the same earrings and bindi from her sari look on Tuesday. While I don’t have an issue with re-wearing the accessories, in skipping on the cape that was featured with the separates, Ms. Gupta veered into the bizarre territory with this look. Especially when you consider that big bindi.

Was she shooting for a Mauja hi Mauja reboot?

Wearing a beige cotton sari with a striking pink blouse, Sayani attended a screening of Moonlight on Tuesday evening. Keeping away from make-up this time, she added more visual interest to the look via silver jewellery and a big blue bindi.

There was a sweet disposition about her look her that made me like it a lot. I do wish though she’d worn some kajal though to play up the eyes just a wee bit.
