Fatima was seen at the Jio Studios event wearing a Sabyasachi sari with a strapless bustier, a metallic clutch and chunky sandals. As far as styling was concerned, barring the heavy jewellery that we also see when it comes to Sabya outings, it was pretty much same ole, same ole. I think she would’ve fared better if she’d skipped the belt here, worn the pallu down and opted for a black clutch.

Wearing an embellished sari, Suhana gave us a Sabyasachi sighting this weekend. Small bindi in place, she rounded out the look with accessories from the designer which included the brand’s signature box clutch. On the opening night, she picked a gown by Antithesis to wear, one that she teamed with her mom’s Valentino clutch.

She looked nice on both evenings but I have to say, her outing in the Antithesis gown stood out more- it fit her like a glove and she looked great!

Ai yai yai was my first reaction seeing Mrs. Poonawalla at the NMACC event. Yet again, she had on a great gown, a Sabyasachi by the way, but then went overkill in trying to make it different by adding that fur coat and that sparkly Dolce & Gabbana bag. Both of these additions just made the outfit feel disconnected.

Skip that Evil-Witch feather-ey coat, keep the necklace, swap the bag for a matching Sabya beaded one and this look would’ve been a winner.

As is, it gets a thumbs down from me. What about from you?

Wearing Sabyasachi, Karisma attended the opening night of NMACC in Mumbai. Karisma as always looked elegant but can’t say I cared for the sari or that cape. I sure wish she’d picked a different print from his collection. You like?

At the Indian Sports Honours awards event, Deepika was seen in a black sari by Sabyasachi paired with a full-sleeve blouse. Given that the designer likes to have the leading ladies wear heavy jewellery as well, the relatively simpler earrings here came as quite a surprise. Having said that though, the novelty of this “Sabya” look (the sari/hairdo/full-sleeveblouse combo) has worn off for me so can’t say am loving it.
