How in the world Ms. Tandon could’ve possibly thought that look being appropriate to attend someone’s wedding beats me. At least at the art exhibition, she didn’t show up in her traditional finery. Small mercies.

Having seen Ms. Balan don the same look over (and over) again, makes us want to shake her so hard, she snaps out of the printed blouse/bordered sari rut that she seems to be in. We love our handlooms (and this is not to say hers is bad), but there so many other styles out there that Ms. Balan could do justice too.
This round we’ll give to Raveena, who from what we can see, looks great in printed blouse and red sari.

Although the denims are not a favorite, Ms. Tandon’s casual avatar wouldn’t be so bad if not for those floral sandals. When will she ditch them?!?
As for the dressed up avatar, love the color on her but the suit itself is a different story. Much too overwhelming with the embroidery overdose.

We expected a big Bollywood turnout but turns out it wasn’t to be. Front row had Urmila and Raveena in attendance who were dressed in Manish’s latest collection.
Loved the color on Raveena but Urmila’s was a bit too much of a mish-mash. We love a good mix of prints and textures but on Urmila it just didn’t work.
Also in attendance was Farah Khan Ali, Celina Jaitley and Dino Morea (which the video shows).

We couldn’t find a full length picture of Raveena’s (which might be a good thing considering her track record with footwear in the past) but from what we see, we’ve got to say the color looks fabulous on her. The hair-do makes it a bit pageant’y and I can’t help but think of a younger, desi’fied Dolly Parton when looking at Ms. Tandon but Red just might be her color! Suchitra too wore the color rather well and we wouldn’t change a thing on her. 🙂
