For most major award functions this year, Parineeti went with short dresses which may have been glitzy but not quite red-carpet worthy. For the Balaji Awards, she went long in a fresh off the runway Rahul Mishra paired with a gold clutch and light red lips.

The fit seemed off at the waist but other than that minor gripe, quite liked the look. Here’s hoping her red carpet style evolution keeps going in the right direction.

Parineeti has been raking in the awards this season for best debut. Unfortunately, her red carpet appearances haven’t quite been award worthy.

Having said that, while this look was a major upgrade over the past few ones, we find the pink clutch clashing too much with the animal print sandals. She should’ve gone with one or the other. Ankles up, she did look good.

Parineeti was pretty much in Zara except for the skirt and neckpiece which was from her own collection. Not that we have a problem with Zara, love it in fact. But, for such a major award appearance, this look was way too casual! A lil’ more effort was expected on Parineeti’s part. Especially considering this was her first Filmfares.

These ladies kept it simple in their shift dresses at the recent awards and we think they both did look nice. However, here’s hoping Parineeti has a bit more fun with her choices on the red carpet in the future.
