Mini gave us our second sighting of a Mayyur Girotra gown at the Style Awards held last night. Side-swept hair, dark lip and a Bottega Veneta clutch finished out her look. While we like the graphic gown on Mini, the look wasn’t quite all there. Perhaps the limp hair is to be blamed, or the make-up, we can’t quite put our finger on it. The change of pace doesn’t go unnoticed however and for that, props.

Picking a red gown for a red carpet appearance can sometimes backfire as it did for Ms. Advani at the HT Most Stylish event. The color and the material of her red Mayyur Girotra one felt like it was blending into the red carpet but the bigger issue with it was the thick straps which made the gown feel very inexpensive.

Bummer, considering she fared really well in the hairdo and make-up area.

Styled to perfection, Waluscha made two red carpet appearances recently. At the Femina Women Awards on Monday, the model was seen in a black and white Mayyur Girotra gown and given the busy embroidery, the sleek middle parted hairdo was a great way of balancing out the look. Thursday evening at the HT Most Stylish event, she donned an Amit Aggarwal gown (also seen on Sarah) wearing it with an updo and subtle smoky eyes.

It was hard to pick a better appearance here, she looked fabulous in both!

Huma picked a Mayyur Girotra gown for her appearance at the Women’s Awards. With her hair in a severe knot, smokey eyes and diamond jewelry from Gehna finished out her look.

Now it’s got to be said, the sheer cape with floral appliqué was a tad reminiscent of Anamika Khanna’s designs. Especially with this look coming so close on the heels of this, one couldn’t escape a certain sense of déjà vu. That said, the drama of this look works great on Huma; the actor looked good!

Latest issue of Hi Blitz has Tabu wearing a one-shouldered Mayyur Girotra printed dress with Amrapali jewelry on its cover. The actor wore more outfits from the designer for the cover story as well, pictures of which you’ll find inside. Amrapali jewelry and Louboutin sandals were the accessories of choice for the shoot.
